those are all good suggestions!! my daughter (4) either wants screen time or my undivided attention. My son (2) is good with independent play but completely untrustworthy lol, he WILL get into whatever he's not supposed to but hey, he's entertaining himself!

To be fair, we use our cars to go to the grocery store because we have to, not strictly due to laziness. Our towns and suburbs are extremely car-oriented to the point that it's often unsafe to walk/bike

eh, I have friends who were sexually assaulted at sleepovers (typically by a father or older brother, but one where it was the friend itself) so I get it. But there's still a big gulf between "no sleepovers" and "another adult is stopping by during a play date"

My lovely, faithful MIL who volunteered and homeschooled and kept home for 25 years had all that count for very little when it came down to needing health insurance for her or her minor sons. I don't think people always plan for hardship when they romanticize staying at home. 9/

daycare prices for two are just not manageable, so my SAHM position became permanent by default. This is a job you have to WANT to do (and it IS **a job** in terms of effort) and it can be very lonely sometimes. And my children are, to my knowledge, neurotypical so I even have 4/

If women want to be SAHMs, great! Do it! My MIL was one and she's one of my very best friends. But you need to make an informed decision. If women want to work, great! Do it! My mom was an engineer until she retired 7 years ago. I encourage women to make the choices best for 6/

retired almost immediately and has healthcare and a pension (I know those are pretty much extinct these days) for the rest of her life. My MIL had to find work within a month of my FIL's death even with a life insurance policy. 8/

- don't want that? too bad, sex is an expected part of marriage and refusing would be sinful
- in theory the solution would be not to marry, but that was a nearly impossible option due to sexism

I *swear* by Pillsbury pie crust. "You can tell when it's homemade!" No you can't. "It's so easy to make!" Not as easy as unrolling a pie crust from the fridge. "It's not as flaky!" It is, I get compliments all the time for it and people assume it's homemade. YOU CAN'T TELL.
