Amazing. More than year of posting dieselpunk mecha, but somehow its the railway guns that make people go "that doesn't make sense" en masse.
Mind you, I've been writing excuses for why these things are as they are for nearly five years now. I relish the opportunity to share.
The Liberterran coastal wall is the largest structure in the world. Depending on how one quantifies things it is also the largest weapons system ever produced. Without the wall, the Kyzerian “Operation Oberherr” naval invasion of WC047 would most certainly have succeeded.

How is avatar not dark enough? Genocide, murderous revenge, plethora of war crimes, deep psychological trauma breaking down peoples psyche. The only thing that doesn't fit "dark and gritty" is that our main cast keeps an optimism and looks for another way. That is a good thing?

Giant walking tanks wearing tattered metal cloaks, really what more can you ask for?
When shaped charge technology was developed later in the Neverwar it was soon countered with specialized defenses. Offset armor plates were common on Kyzerian Tankheads, but they also developed a wiremesh cape that could be draped over tankheads.

The fanfan hovercraft is one of my favorite obscure gundam vehicles, and I do love this kind of asymmetric warfare, where conventional vehicles become like insurgents and the very humanoid mobile suits take the role of tanks in urban warfare.
Before the Gundam, and hordes of rookie-piloted GM Mobile Suits could turn the tide... Remember VTOLs, choppers, tanks and infantry held the Federation's line against Zeon, and their formidable Zaku.

I've been tinkering away at a line of 6mm vehicles to go with upcoming wargaming rules Hypersteel Nightmare! This is going to be a big set of hulls with various mountings options, turrets, fixed, sponsons etc and oodles of weapons to slot into them!

EMA-04 Elefante. Quick snap shots of this monster before I dullcoat it. I considered weathering but its so large (in universe) and rounded curves that it would be hard to paint right. Plus its a one off prototype.

The Koumori was one of the first entirely fictional vehicles I wrote in Tankhead. Drawing on historic events as inspiration without mirroring any specifics too closely became a challenge I really enjoyed while writing the book.
The alliance mistook the A6MS for a night fighter-bomber due to its name “Koumori'' meaning bat. In reality this was simply chosen because it was considered good luck. In fact the “Bats” rarely flew at night as their unusual posture made them very difficult to land even at day.

The type 11 here is another Tankhead that is extra special to me. (they all are my precious babies ok?) In a way, it is the first Tankhead I "invented". When
@emersontung
first approached me about the Tankhead artbook I wrote a piece of text for him as a sort of try out.
The Dominion’s crab type tankheads were considered a failed idea for nearly a decade. This all changed when older Type 11 Gosutokani, relegated to guard stations in the southern Darumeshia Archipelago, proved highly suited to combat on the beaches and atolls of the island chain.

I don't think I ever posted painted pictures of the 1/300 scale near future fighterjet I made! I got some great help from a couple of concept artist friends in refining the details, but the overall shape came together on its own effortlessly. If only most jobs went like that.

My taste is all over the place as I love mecha so much, but I gravitate towards designs that pushes the boundaries and conventions of the genre.

I updated the mechs a bit and made an extra pose, and a anti tank version with a rail-gun and missile tubes. I think I might do a few more variants soon, maybe a scout and command version?

A lot of RPGs I play/like to play use range bands or zones for movement, which is pretty cool IMHO. I do however always enjoy a good looking battle map, it inspires more creative play than theatre of mind I find. exalted essence suggested using index cards which got me thinking.
