When Jetheads became a viable military tool around WC035 there was a sudden need to improve anti-air defenses around the world. Seemingly overnight, many towers and fortresses sprouted large machine gun clusters and heavy flak cannons.

Tankheads dominate the imagery of the Neverwar, and with good reason. However, conventional tanks & armored cars remained an important factor on the battlefield as well. Infantry, armored car and tankhead became the trifecta of Neverwar tactics, each with their own role.

The alliance mistook the A6MS for a night fighter-bomber due to its name “Koumori'' meaning bat. In reality this was simply chosen because it was considered good luck. In fact the “Bats” rarely flew at night as their unusual posture made them very difficult to land even at day.

@EthanLackey11 Some are boatheads but most tend to be conventional navy. Smaller ships have shorter legs, and that's only useful really close to the shore.

@genius_eu The arms are needed for stabilization when running, so adding hands is a logical step. they are mostly used for ad hoc engineering work, but there are tankheads that wield hand held weapons, this however can destabilize their walk cycle.

@Centurion_mrFox jetheads by and large operate like real world combat aircraft. The Tankhead world however relied heavily on airships before the war, which led to large powerful AA guns being common. Jetheads only became agile enough to effectively operate around these weapons late in the war.

@Junkmech There are a lot of potential body layouts beyond the ones mentioned here for sure! The Tank Kong for example sits at a strange intermediate between bipedal and quadrupedal. It uses its arms for locomotion without losing their normal functions.

@EthanLackey11 They need very deep water, otherwise they just wade trough it. Some would pull up their legs, other stretch back or just kind of dangle.
