@scottieboy32 @Nolan The argument about this football pitch was given by Nolan after he pressed Michael Allen on any schools that had got similar repairs/funding. This was a school where the application was in for about 20 years or something relating to a 60 year old gravel pitch. Not the same thing

Cried, cursed, Green-Orange apparent, forgot gcse results, EA, Lyons and Givan under the school bus, comparison made with ancient gravel pitch, no application but principal of 10yrs should have known, no BOG, considered leaving job. Awful

@Jill4life3 @mgtruth @BBCNewsNI To be fair, he threw the EA, Lyons and Givan under the school bus. Rightly so. But, he’s an experienced principal so he doesn’t get off scott free. No application for funding? You can’t spend diddlies without form filling/bus cases etc. He should have expected paperwork or asked

@Teresa36812981 @BelTel There’s other schools with pupils across the country in schools that are falling apart and one school in 40 years old portacabins. Classrooms are the priority; not a pitch.

@TeamUnion_UK He threw the kitchen sink into it - leaving his job, EA under the wheels, Lyons was silent, pointless mtg with Lyons & Given, he forgot gcse results day, hasn’t spoken to his staff yet, it’s about the kids, awful week, green/orange, little support and said fuck on live radio 👌

@jni_1972 @DarranMarshall It was. Meanwhile EA, DE and the school’s BOG have virtually been silent. They’re accountable. They’re also accountable for safeguarding his wellbeing. Didn’t hear mention of any BOG support when Nolan asked if the politicians and anyone had been offering support

That was a powerful interview from Lisneal College Principal Michael Allen on Nolan. Michael is the fearless type of leader our schools need. He is owed an apology by those who have attempted to besmirch his school and reputation. There is no point in condemning online harassment and then SF, SDLP and Alliance politicians systematically targeting the only controlled secondary school in Londonderry with misinformation.
