@dimitripilled This sounds like the opening line to a movie that I’d probably watch 50 times.

@wydna777 Free thinker asking for permission to express a normal human emotion and being met with venomous anonymous losers voicing their objections. Just another day in Dimes Square.

@monaphobia Legitimately believe that this is the only thing that could improve The Truman Show.

@paul_posts Rosenbaum talks about this in Movie Wars. If I understand it correctly, he basically says that the consolidation of media companies has slowly rotted out the film press and replaced it with PR people who think they’re journalists.

Every self-described "anarchist" I've met basically considers this guy one of their idols. Anecdotal, but 100% true.
Anarchists do not have "idols" bozo, CNT-FAI is a crucial part of anarchist history but they are not our overlords 90 years later. Of course I don't expect the average pathetically dogmatic and worshipful tankie brain to grasp that.

@HarryIrene @PaulLRobeson Thats not why I dislike him, but its worth considering when people talk about him like he's some towering intellect.

@corpseinorbit It's also the ultimate class comedy taken to its logical end. Bill is just scratching at the attic trying to get in the club and the nobility just shut his ass down every damn time. The snooker scene with Sydney Pollack is the skeleton key to the entire thing.

@bogeygolf1996 Yeah apparently had to sneak past the front lines to plant explosives in VC territory. Makes me wonder if Tiger ever realized the irony of naming his son Charlie.

@minakimes @TampaBayTre Never thought I’d see a Pynchon reference in the title of an episode of a football podcast. What a world.

@AnaKasparian Scraping by means working two jobs (+ a gig) and still selling your plasma twice a week and you're still broke a few days before your next check. Candidates saying that most Americans can't afford a $500 emergency, they need to remember many can't afford a $100 one either.
