This is interesting because I had a situation recently of my son telling my daughter not to eat certain things because of calories. He learned this at school. My daughter has eating issues so I had to stop him repeating this stuff. Not his fault, just what school had taught him

Re: Exjw and activism. I think it’s very helpful when exiting to educate yourself on cult structure and influence in the wider context, rather than focus just on the WT. this will protect you falling into another and help you see coercive behaviour outside the org.

If you grow up in a cult, one thing you never learn as part of your natural development, is disagreement. What I mean is accepting disagreement and remaining friends. It can be quite a learning curve after you leave. You grow up in a community where no one disagrees.
