There is no saving this country. Guy from Romford on #BBCBreakfast who waited 12 hours for an ambulance for his 88 year old father thinks Boris will sort everything out. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Does he think Liz Truss broke the NHS in 6 weeks?!

@Stick_Pins @mollyjforbes Whenever I hear schools with healthy eating drives and lunch box rules, I remember my Mum not having much money and pointing out that a packet of biscuits is cheaper than an apple and goes further. She was right then, and it’s still the case.

@MartinSLewis School governors get reminded of these on a regular basis. We have to declare any interests. We have to ensure public money is carefully spent where it would have greatest effect. How on Earth can those who run the country demonstrate lesser scruples?

@Nurseborisbash About 6 months before my Dad died, he was in hospital and told the HCA that he really fancied a pineapple fritter. The next day she bought him one, wrapped in grease proof paper, that her Mum had cooked. It made his day.

@MartinSLewis Although, to be fair, I have only found this to be an issue on Twitter and Facebook posts. Real life doesn’t present problems without contextual information. For example, if I have 5 boys and 6 girls and they all want 4 sweets, the answer is 44. An answer of 29 will end in tears!

I was in Wavendon Gate last weekend. I met a 93 year old who is the sole carer for his 92 year old wife with dementia. He pays to take her to respite care once a week. He was wondering why the Tory Party, which he’s voted for all his life, are not helping him. Did you meet him?

While I was canvassing yesterday, a lady in her 70s told me she didn’t agree with strikes. Her and her husband had bought a house in the 1970s, and they managed, so she didn’t understand why people today need to use food banks. 1/n

@JamesMelville I’m for a proper shutdown for three weeks. I’ll even have the kids off school again if I have to.

My #NewYearsResolution is to do everything I can to get people to vote Labour at the May local elections and the GE when it comes. Looking forward to spending more time doing that with the lovely people in @MKLabourParty who want the best for the people of MK😃🌹
