This is a misguided campaign promise, Premier. Asking you to keep your eye on the balls, i.e. health care, education and housing. If you want to improve GTA transit, there are better ways to do it in the shorter term. Thanks for reading.
With President Trump’s tariffs looming over Ontario’s economy, it’s never been more important to keep our workers on the job. Today, I announced that a re-elected PC government will fight gridlock and protect Ontario workers by building a new tunnel expressway under Highway 401. Full details:

Slogan Guy Pierre needs some new material, and the latest polls appear to reflect that.
WTF are you talking about? This is just pure misinformation. Carney was named head of the Liberal Economic Growth Council in September 2024 and you can't name its members because it doesn't even exist yet. The carbon tax is at $0.17/L, not $0.61/L.

Ridiculous indeed. Rather than this foolhardy case of tunnel vision by the premier, how about focusing on a plan to get more vehicles on the 407 and expanding public transit in the GTA.
This plan is as ridiculous as it is insulting. Ontarians don't want their tax dollars buried under the 401, they want to be able to afford a home, they want a family doctor, they want reliable regional transit. Ford isn't serious about reducing traffic and he isn't serious about making life better in Ontario.
