@NickMurphy123 @netmunder They can always change their mind, but very few (if any) will do so.

@StevieMacSports What many of them will do is show some spine to their employees by insisting they stop investigating the admin. See Los Angeles Times for the new wave.

@netmunder @NickMurphy123 Wrong. Players cannot sign until Feb. 11, and the original team has two days to examine offer sheets filed with the league, during which they can make counter-offers to the player. But even if they match (or even improve) the offer, the player does not have to accept.

@johnw_bender I looked at Argos in 2023. Players spent a total of 247 games on injured lists, of which 144 were full stints on the six-game. That left 103 games against which salary would be charged to the cap, or about six per week. PR adds another 10 or so (at low cost).

@RoarReport @johnw_bender Whether it "should" or not, I've seen no evidence suggesting PR is not charged against the cap.

RT @TSNDaveNaylor: @pxw13 @Argonuts @FarhanLaljiTSN @danralphcp You can match. But there’s nothing binding on that.

@Argonuts @TSNDaveNaylor @FarhanLaljiTSN @danralphcp Confusion might be because NHL has right-to-match for restricted FAs, I suppose. I doubt many (if any) CFL FAs will renege on commitments they made this wk. Once they verbally commit, they're gone.

@Argonuts @TSNDaveNaylor @FarhanLaljiTSN @danralphcp Tell that to the internet. Lots of fans seem to believe there is a right to match.

@Dave_CHED To clarify, he was a starter for much of the 2022 season, but didn't play a lot in 2023 or 2024.

Calling this a comprehensive list must surely be a mistake. There is zero chance this list is even close to comprehensive. ##deathofcopyediting

He seems to think Trump acts rationally. Since when does Trump need an "invitation" to act?
The LCBO ban isn’t the wisest decision. While retaliatory tariffs are a reciprocal response, any bans are an escalation — which just invites a further action from the United States. The goal shouldn’t be to ramp things up.
