Smart move. No other active tennis stars in the podcasting space + she seems well connected not only in tennis but the entertainment industry as a whole. So, she should snag some interesting guests.
Sloane Stephens will host a new podcast titled "Sincerely, Sloane," showcasing real stories and conversations with sports and entertainment stars. The 1st episode will be released on May 13th
RG’s lack of clips and highlights across socials is just tragic. I’m a broken record, but it really prevents the event from feeling like a big deal in this day and age.
@fcknlisa
Well, she had the label support + her own money to continue pushing singles regardless of whether they were commercial successes or not. Other artists with smaller fan bases/less clout/no label backing aren’t so lucky.
Mmmm. I’m not sure who is doing the research here but you’re missing Venus Williams, who also had 20 titles before turning 23 (and after the year 2000)
This is also a very specific stat, pretty much made up and it’s still not correct :/
This should be much more of a scandal than it really is. Crazy how tennis media covered the Halep case in general. Especially a certain Sports Illustrated writer…
Four months passed and it’s now clear that the CAS award in Halep’s case will never be published because one of the parties objected to it.
Scandalous. Outrageous. Lamentable.
The most serious, grave doping case in tennis history and its resolution is kept behind closed doors.
Collins will be
#15
in tomorrow’s rankings. She has 0 points to defend in Stuttgart, Madrid and Rome and lost in the first round of the French Open last year + only has round 2 Wimbledon points to defend on grass. Top 10 by the time Toronto starts doesn’t feel unrealistic.
Danielle
#4
in the Race to Riyadh and up to
#18
in the live rankings. Could be
#15
with a win tomorrow. On the other hand, Kasatkina could return to the top 10 if she wins tomorrow.
I’d honestly be happy with Coco having a 2024 that looks like Iga’s 2021 tbh. Win a 1000 and qualify for the WTA Finals again. Defending a slam is so so so tough
Paula Badosa revealed to Courtney Nguyen on the WTA Insider Podcast that during Indian Wells, doctors told her that continuing her career would be very complicated
She was given cortisone shots & told she may need to keep receiving them if she wants to play for a few more years
@Danidilo2
I mean yeah she’s older now but she had good footwork when she was at her best until like 2018 lol. I think she’s qualified to give tennis tips 🤷♂️
3 - Madison Keys is the third American women's player to make the semi-finals of both clay WTA-1000 events (Rome and Madrid) after the Williams sisters. Marching.

Only a healthy, in form Rybakina in the SF or final can beat Iga at RG. Or, these last several weeks can maybe tire her out but she usually handles challenges in the first week of the French Open much better compared to the other 3 slams.
@penkostephens
He’s really the perfect scapegoat lol. Awfully convenient that most of the tennis elite (former/current top players, journalists, broadcasters/commentators etc) barely mention her bio passport when talking about the case.
Raonic is definitely retiring soon if his body isn’t letting him play two matches in 3 days. A shame cause his level’s good enough nowadays to play tour level events but his body isn’t allowing it.
The blue kit that Coco wore in her commercial is gorgeous. New balance have not missed at all this year. A commercial for headphones and her kit stole the show
@sogsupreme
I guess but maybe I’m just a bitter Serena fan who isn’t as impressed by wins her opponents had over her post-AO 2017? She was never the same player after giving birth so I don’t grade her opponent’s performances on the same scale…
Tiafoe could be out of the top 50 by the end of the season at this rate. Last year’s USO QF felt like such a sliding doors moment in both his and Ben Shelton’s careers. Especially in retrospect…
Crazy that David Witt has only coached two (!!!) players since 2008. Very interested to see whose camp he joins next. Interesting that he says he’d be interested in coaching ATP players too.
BREAKING NEWS: Jessica Pegula has ended her coaching relationship with David Witt.
The two had worked together since 2019, during which Pegula rose to as high as No. 3 in the world.
“It was a total surprise to me,” Witt tells . ⤵️
4 - Coco Gauff will appear in her fourth WTA-1000 semi-final, she is the player with the most semi-finals reached as a teenager in such events eclipsing Victoria Azarenka’s three semi-finals – since 2009. Destined.

Worrying trend basically all season of being unable to consolidate leads. Against Siniakova in Doha, Keys in Madrid, Kostyuk in Stuttgart, even the first set vs Navarro at Wimbledon. Been a really poor season mentally for her…
She can obviously still turn things around in Cincinnati but yeah, I don’t expect her to defend her title this year. Just doing the wrong things tactically on top of her game’s already existing weaknesses. Plus she seems more mentally fragile than ever.
