Overtime is voluntary and not compulsory.
Train drivers are entitled to enjoy their days off.
Railway depends on drivers working overtime as the TOCs dont employ enough drivers to suit their diagrams.
So read before you spout your lack of knowledge.

As a train driver, the amount of emergency and temporary speed restrictions on the rail network I'm seeing at the minute god only knows what will happen should their be track maintenance worker redundancies.
