32, Autistic . Just a regular guy who likes art. Talks about the good and the bad about it. This blog is geared for the PG13 crowd. Do not repost my art.
Things to consider if we lose this film.
-All the animation work that went into is will be gone.
- Artists who were involved with this project will never see the light.
-It'll be destroyed by corrupt management.
Its time we fight back.

For the love of god. Do NOT sleep on this movie. You guys wanted a 2D film? Well LOOK at all of this! Its a fully 2D film, its finally focusing on LT characters(no hybrid gimmicks), and its being done by the people who did the recent LTC shorts. We've struck GOLD here!
At one point. Cartoon Network was going to have a show based off of the movie The Goonies, the project was shelved, all that exists is this concept of the character designs from Stephen Sliver
Everyone on the internet when they found out that management fired off the OG artists from the original Ren and Stimpy and were replaced by writers who had no experience with cartoons.
Osamu Tezuka(Astro Boy) didn't enjoy just Disney and Fleischer. He actually enjoyed a whole lot of variety of cartoons from America. And he even drew this to prove it.
During the 90s. Bill Kopp(Eeek the cat) pitched an adult cartoon feature film to Fox called 'Betty of the Jungle'. The project didnt get made. All that exists is concept art of the purposed feature film.
The following is what killed 2D animation in theaters
-Movie audiences being more interested in CG
- Bad Marketing on the movies to intentionally kill off any chance of anymore 2D films.
Many places outside of the USA have been giving us 2D films, but nobody pays attention.
@Frimpys
And it throws out all the rules on what made the first film good, but goes into a direct to video territory in writing that just says 'fuck you to EVERYONE who liked the first'.
Animation twitter. If you honestly care about 2D animation. Then SEE this movie when it comes out. Disney's not going to 'bring back' 2D. Other places are currently doing it since Disney's not interested in doing it.
Animation Magazine has confirmed through Michael Ryan, Producer of GFM Film Sales, that The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie WILL be screened at Cannes as well as the upcoming Annecy Festival.
This comic has aged poorly now since the guy who drew it just became the monster he hated. To anyone who worked on Mighty Magiswords, you have my deepest sympathy.
With all the talk with what is going on with Unity. I want to remind people that some Nintendo games were made in Unity, I think we all know how this is going to end.
@BeaPeaBear
This trope is funnier when you get people who've worked(or drawn similar styles) to the said parody. I know the Family guy one got Disney animators, I like that, but that one joke that we all saw coming I didn't like.
I just found out that blacklisted artist, John K, has started a Patreon. For everyone's best interest, do not give this predator any money. Instead, support other deserving artists on Patreon. Links are included in the replies below. John doesn't deserve any support at all.
@DoobusGoobus
I call them 'childish adult' cartoons since they follow the same thing.
-unappealing designs you'd expect from teenagers
-Cursing like sailors
- No Rhyme or reason with unlikable characters
- 'HA HA WE'RE FUNNY' humor that's in your face.
- Follows FG without trying to hide it
@Wilson_The_Cat_
No. An artist by the name of FlippinDingDong made a 'lost' Gex cartoon, which can easily be mistaken as a legit lost cartoon from the 90's decade. The cartoon got the attention to have him animate Gex for the reveal of the remaster he's getting.
@SoupSonic705
its ALWAYS a username that includes 'productions', like they're opening up a studio. Who's running these types of channels, a 7 year old?
Animation twitter keeps saying 'they want 2D animation back' but always lose their shit because its 'not Disney' that's doing it. Well guess what. WB is one of the places that actually gives us a 2D film in years, instead of Disney. I suggest you go see this. It looks amazing
guys, you shouldn't boycott The Day The Earth Blew Up because it is not distributed by Warner Bros, it is distributed by another studio that bought the film, please support this movie, Many artists and animators who worked on Coyote vs Acme are working here too
I had a thought. With the reveal of Cuphead's cartoon finally coming out, and Microsoft announcing they're owning Crash. Do you think there would be an attempt to bring back that Crash Bandicoot cartoon that was cancelled from last year?
At this point. Its just the Oscars being racists without even hiding it. If they can still allow people like Mel Gibson, Woody Allen, and Roman Polanski's actions unnoticed but raise hell over Will Smith. Then its racism. I ain't sugarcoating this.
Commissioned JWCartoonist to draw my character Fayre, in protest on what is going on at WB. She's the comic book/arts loving person, she is NOT happy on what's going on.

This movie had a lot of care handled by the people who worked on it. Their work deserves to be seen to the world, and not locked up in a vault over a tax write off. We won't be silent about this.
You guys really want to see this come out? Then go see The Day The Earth Blew Up. Make that movie make a lot of money and WB wake up that there is demand for a Looney Tunes movie.
#releasecoyotevsacme
Not one peep out of
@wbpictures
about
#CoyoteVsACME
. I said a couple of months ago that they will most likely stay quiet and let it fade away . The talk about
#ReleaseCoyoteVsAcme
has definitely dwindled down.
@VoicesByZane
To think they ALMOST got Charlie Brown(no joke, one of the writers confirmed this) as the bad guy for this film for a similar reason. Thank freaking lord the Schultz family rejected that in a snap.
Back in the early 70s. There was an attempt of bringing Nicola Cut's character Moonchild for animation. There isn't a whole lot of info about this purposed project, except Dan Haskett was on board with this according to this piece of art.
@ArtofLostandCan
@bagofcobbles
Joker said it best, if you explain the joke, there is NO joke. The original show never did this, seeing the revival doing this from Netflix writers who aren't cartoonists feels like a massive sin was committed.
You want to see this movie get released at all? Go see 'The day the earth blew up'. Its a Looney Tunes movie. Old saying goes, money talks. If the movie makes a shitload of money to surprise WB, then they'd might change their minds and release the film.
#ReleaseCoyoteVsAcme
The latest word on
#coyotevsacme
is that
@wbpictures
have already made up their minds on the films fate . Just waiting for this to all die down . Perhaps another bidder comes out of left field but the asking price is pretty high . Nothing is official until it’s official but we
This is why we need PROPER parenting when it comes to stuff like this. It blows my mind that a 9 year old asked this. Not everything animated is 'for children'.
alex is 100% right at the end, absolute shame on the parents dear GOD this is BAFFLING
cast must have felt so embarrassed, i cannot believe there are parents letting their 9 YEAR OLD CHILDREN watch and say these things, wtf man 😭
cons gotta put age restrictions for these panels
'1/2. Wow, this is surprisingly taking off. I get that its the 'business norm' to follow whats popular, but from what everyone else is seeing. The 'Family guy' look has personally ran its course, and its time for something different to get some attention.
I would personally like to see Dreamworks do an animated film with how these two characters look from Trolls Band Together. I know the previous troll movies experimented with styles, but to see Fleischer inspired designs in CG? That's something I want to see more of.
@InspectorNerd
There is a reason why I was annoyed with the star was fanbase, they ignore important tidbits like this. Plus Lizzo and Jack Black do look great together in the scene they share.
@Frimpys
Most people who bitch about modern day animation are either one of two things. They draw horribly(we're talking like pre-school looking drawings here) or they can't draw at all and they only get their fix by doing this kind of shit.
#AnimationIsForEveryone
the form of art can be used more than just being viewed for 'a digital babysitter/kids stuff'. It lets artists explore with territories that aren't possible for live-action. Its more than Disney/Pixar imitations and Family guy imitations.
For
#InternationalWomensDay
. I want to remind everyone that at one point, Princess Peach got her own video game for the Nintendo DS. Super Princess Peach. I don't see gamers talk about this one particular title, it is a fun title.
Regarding on the news of the film Fixed, Fayre is NOT happy how a certain dog is being treated. Fixed as of now is up in the air on being released(be it theaters or streaming) or being 'put down' as a tax write off. Commissioned by
@JWCartoonist
#UnleashGenndysFixed
You can start by supporting artists like Milton Knight. Milton has worked on such projects like Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat, worked on comics such as his own creations like Midnite the rebel skunk and Hugo.
Looking through all the qrts just show that these people can't stomach a funny cartoon(the guy gets his ass handed to him in this clip for petes sakes). Its quite sad that its come to this.
To clarify
1. William Wray, Bob Camp, and Jim Gomez were asked by Nick to return to R&S.
2. All three tried to explain to the executives what makes R&S work, but went deaf ears.
3. The executives told them that they couldn't write the episodes due to ageism and being male.
@StelLizard
Surprised you didn't add this guy, he was supposed to get a show on Netflix, but the creator backed out when they told him to make it less violent.
@Epicconor1
Tyson Hesse first made the Sonic adventure comic for tumblr, as the comic made its rounds. He later got a job working on the Sonic comic, he then was later Sega's first choice to redesign Sonic for the live-action to fix the unapproved design Paramount went with.
"animation is for kids"
Listen here. Its AN ART FORM. And if you think otherwise, you're part of the problem why the art community dislikes people like you for saying this crap. Along with keeping that BS excuse alive for decades while other places improve the art form
@VlahThe
He's not wrong on that. I do a similar thing with stuff I liked when I was young, I just want to keep the good memories on what made me happy.
