It’s great to see more girls in #Rwanda breaking barriers and thriving in vocational training! Empowering young women in fields like construction, welding, electronics, etc is a very positive step toward building a more inclusive and innovative future. Very encouraging indeed.

Yes, the lights of a historic generation have now been dimmed. They were giants of their time, architects of liberation, and symbols of resilience. As the final chapter closes, their legacy lives on, inspiring generations to come. May their contributions be forever honored, and their spirits rest in peace.

I think you people needs to be reminded that the spirit and determination of people defending their homeland very often outweigh superior military budgets and advanced equipment. History offers countless examples— Somalia, Vietnam, and Afghanistan—where local resistance, driven by a profound connection to their land and cause, triumphed over far more powerful forces. The comparison here illustrates a similar point. Despite one country so called modest military resources, its resolve to challenge a nation with the so called significantly larger defense spending speaks volumes about the willpower and resilience of its forces. This serves as a powerful reminder that national pride, strategic ingenuity, and unwavering commitment can be far more decisive than sheer financial or technological superiority. Ultimately, war is never just about numbers—it is about heart, purpose, and unyielding determination.

I also noted the absence of coverage in Western media concerning the involvement of European mercenaries which is troubling. This certainly highlights how selective narratives shapes public perception and obscure key facts.

Off to spend their fortunes… Not a single Western media outlet has mentioned them since Goma fell. Even before, they were hardly in the news. It’s as if they haven’t been there all along.

It is with deep sadness that I learned of the passing of Joseph Mfinanga, a former student at the University of Dar es Salaam and long-time colleague. Since 1997, Joseph played a pivotal role in establishing the Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (now the College of Science and Technology at the University of Rwanda). He was also instrumental in setting up the Rwanda Polytechnic, where he served as a senior staff member until his untimely passing. Let us keep Joseph and his family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
