I didn't mind hitting deadlifts and squats on the same day. This is my last set, and I'm finding that my squats are getting easier, AND I like it. 🤪

Just like recording yourself in the gym. Sometimes people stand in front of the phone. This is my last squat at Noppers Bay powerlifting competition. 230kg which is 506lbs, and gets me my 500club squat card.

My youngest daughter and I went to her gym last night. We can call this training session; Deadlift & daughters. I trained with her once before, BUT this time it was different. She was engaged, and picked up on it. If she didn't know; now she knows. I just did 3 sets of 6 reps.
I didn't finish the way I wanted to finish, BUT I took some lessons from today's competition.
1. I need to work on my deadlift.
2. I have to start adding some cardio into my training; to lose a couple pounds.
3. My Bench press is still strong.
4. I earned my 500lbs Squat.
This lift is a bitter sweet for me. I've never lifted 275kg/605lbs. Reviewing the video; that weight moved well for the gym. For competitions; When the weight makes contact with my leg; it doesn't count.

Last week I hit 100lbs dumbbells for 4 reps. This week; I'm using 105lbs. Next week it will be the 110. I'm not expecting too much of a difference in reps, BUT we'll see.

Progress with my Bulgarian split squats. Doing the exercise straight through without taking breaks. 3 sets of 15 reps for each leg. Sticking with the exercise to make progress.

My nerves get going when I am filling the application for an competition, when I start seeing notifications from the directors about the event, and then the day of lifting. After the weigh-in; I am at peace. I know that I have 9 lifts to do in front of 3 judges.

Finally, I have reached 3 reps with this weight. It has been too long since I have done this weight for three reps. I need to continue this kind of work.

This weight is 200kg. I wanted to get the side angle, so the next troll says that I don't hit depth; will actually see that I hit depth. 😁

Yesterday, I can finally say that I lifted 185kg/407lbs in this gym. I'll be coming back for some more in the coming weeks. The next competition is 5 months away, and I am feeling good physically and mentally.

Last shoulders training was pretty good. Still working with 12.5lbs dumbbells for Sagi 6 way exercise. The kick in the pants for me is; I hit a warm-up set before doing this. 3 sets of 15 reps.

Nobody has to care about you or your goals, quite frankly.

Not sure why I decided to do heavy singles, BUT that's what happened. For the next 3 sets; I did a single deadlift. I started at 440lbs, and this is 462lbs.

Face masks will no longer be required to enter. So, I trained without a face mask tonight. I guess I won't get messages about my mask anymore. 🥲😂🤣

do. Inclined dumbbell rows;. The first time doing it; it felt good. I'm going to have to use heavier dumbbells next time.

The Bradford press will light up your shoulders if done properly. When doing them; Think of giving yourself a close haircut with the barbell. Your ego with this lift should take the backseat; light weight and high reps.

I am skeptical that I was going to lift heavy; yesterday's food choices were poor, and not plenty. I have some reserves around my waist to power me.

My main shoulder exercise is overhead press. With this amount of weight... It won't go behind my head. 😁

I wasn't in the mood to load up the machine, and smash some reps. I kept it light, and slowly lowered myself and exploded from the bottom. Just 5 reps.
