Hi, my name is Stephen Shao. Thanks for visiting my X account! Iβd love to connect so we can have fun or learn from each other. If youβre wondering who I am or what to expect from me, hereβs a short story with a summary of my knowledge and interests. I grew up in a rural town 15 minutes outside of Nashville, TN. My mother was an incredible caregiver, while my father was a narcissistic and extremely violent dictator which shaped most of my life experiences. I spent most of my life pursuing sports, but my journey was difficult due to chronic, severe depression. I played baseball at Vanderbilt University and was drafted by the Colorado Rockies, but my career with both teams was cut short by depression. I was never able to realize my potential due to my mental health struggles. At 27, I became homeless for several months. Shortly after, I dedicated time to trying to save my motherβs life before she passed away in 2015. By 30, I became obsessed with fitness, mental health, and existentialism in an effort to rebuild my life. Through unlearning poor behaviors and gaining knowledge, I was able to get on the right path to happiness. By 33, I was making over 6 figures in a software sales job and living my dream life with my wife and dog. But I still struggled with depression from time to time, driven by existential angst. In my mid-30s, I was able to completely cure my depression and find my purpose through magic mushrooms - experiences that provided the most profound healing imaginable. Now, my purpose - and the reason Iβm on X - is to help my loved ones and others maximize their potential and live the happiest lives possible. I share my stories, experiences, failures, and successes in the hope that others can learn from them. I also share knowledge in areas where I have decades of experience.
