@RoyalHolloway @stonewalluk Stonewall campaigned to have single sex exemptions removed from the Equality Act and when they failed they simply trained the law as they wished it to be. They penalised employers who used “mother” in maternity policies. They are being sued for discrimination by a black lesbian.

Do read the full legal opinion by Monaghan. It’s excoriating and demolishes the toolkit for just how wrong it gets the law. The toolkit is used by schools in several local authorities; Monaghan describes it as an “influential” document.
