Thursday, while on a nice peaceful walk with a client's dog in a beautiful, sunny field... and I got a text telling me that Homer had passed away.
I get emotional when *any* of the dogs I've cared for die... but this one was a real gut punch. I broke down.
I've been taking care of Homer for 8 years (not 7, like I say in the video), since he was just over a year old. He hasn't changed a bit, either in his looks or goofy personality.
He has cancer right now, so the meds have slowed him down (just barely), but he's still a baby.
