I think the issue with YMS' approach to criticism is that he treats film like science instead of art. Obnoxiously absolutist and mechanical when discussing films, often ignoring that the soul and personal impact of film and art in general is its primary purpose.

Yes. The argument that the interactivity of games is what prevents them from being art has always been confusing to me. All art is interactive. When you stare at a painting and immerse yourself in the artist's world, you are interacting with that painting.
