So I made a chatbot that will answer questions using my own directory of personal notes! It's ugly as heck and there's so much more I want to add, but it performs fantastically so far! I have 20k notes so being able to extract info this easily is 👍

Question. Do mainstream users even want to take notes? Especially in a knowledge graph format? My IRL experience says no. If they want to note something it’s on a physical notepad. Maybe note taking is niche & maybe that’s ok.

Was trying to think of a random term I had used in a conversation. Was able to find it from audio recording -> Whisper transcription -> Obsidian notes -> personalized GPT3 querying. It worked!!!!!! 🥳 (Term was dramatizing, btw)

Made a simple AI Assistant using Make, Dropbox, Slack and 3.5 Sonnet. Gave it memory and search capabilities. Customizing the system prompt makes a huuuuugggeeee difference. It is by far my favorite and most practical way to use an LLM so far. Can’t wait for Opus!!

When designing the AI functionality in Tana, we both wanted to lift some functionality to the level that everyone could use it, like Ask AI, Add AI lookup to field, suggest new AI columns etc. And over time, we'll keep adding more stuff that "just works"...

Was checking out @NotionHQ again by recreating some of my setups from other apps and it was just so... easy? Lol, I forgot how much work and workarounds go into making my system function sometimes. It's refreshing to just have something work with zero pain or compromise.

So far, in my short-time low-complexity-level testing, I prefer Gemini Advanced over GPT4. I'm finding Gemini to be more human and the text formatting is better. The integration with Google Drive is very helpful. We'll see how that holds over time.

It's interesting that people are saying Mistral Large was trained on synthetic data from GPT4. I replicated a long conversation on Mistral Large, Gemini 1.5 and GPT4. I found the replies from Mistral and Gemini to be nearly identical, while ChatGPT was quite different.
