Mom died a year ago at 84. She'd decided long ago to donate her body to medical science. When the staff at the hospital learned this they all came and knelt at my moms bed after she died there were at least 30 ppl. To thank her, and us. It chokes me up every time I think about it

Yep. No sitting on mens' laps. Never. As children there's a powerful difference in authority, as young adults women are told it's cute and feminine, but it's still the same, and as fully grown women, if a man wants you to sit on his lap he's infantilizing you. Babies sit on laps.

My cat Victor hangs out in the kitchen cabinet, I've cleared it out for him. Our house burned completely down 2 years ago, we lost everything, but he survived 10 days in the burned wreck by hiding in a cabinet. So now he OWNS all the cabinets in the new house. He OWNS them.

My daddy died of dementia. He was 81. He had very manageable / mild symptoms for about 4-6 years, then he declined quickly over about 18 months.
His mother. His grandmother. exact same thing. I am next but more importantly, then come my kids.

Gave Walmart delivery driver a $20, "but you already tipped in the app?" I said Merry Xmas and she busted out crying, told me she'd lost her job and doing deliveries cause she has no other options. We hugged. You never know how much $20 is. Spread the word, kindness.
