The tough reality of YouTube…
The video is edited well, decent thumbnail and popular topic
Yet the video is a flop
This is mainly because I’m trying to change niche on this channel and YouTube has no idea who to show my videos too

Filming myself editing has been a great hack for keeping me focussed while working
I always struggle with staying focussed but having the camera on and knowing that I'm going to post the video gives me that extra motivation to keep my eye on the ball and dive right into the edit

Too many video editors are charging way too low for their work.
You may think that charging cheaper rates is a good way of attracting clients, but this is the wrong way to go about it.

You’re not working hard enough
This doesn’t mean you have to be editing 8 hours a day though
Anything that helps build your business is work
This could be:
doing outreach
Learning new skills
Researching potential clients

If it’s long form you’re under charging by at least a few thousand dollars. I wouldn’t do 30 videos a month for anything less than $6k

CTR and the first 30 second drop off is the best metrics for thumbnails imo
CTR shows how much people like your thumbnail, first 30 second retention shows whether they think you delivered on that thumbnail

This little $10 timer has probably been one of the best things for my productivity.
