Went to Nobu’s last night. Not the chain. The real place with chef Nobu Kidera. He started his sushi restaurant in 1983 at age 40. Moved to St. Louis from Kobe, Japan by way of Waikiki. Incredible experience. Go see them!

Thread---Today in St. Louis about 100 mourners showed up on Forest Park Ave for a balloon release to honor four young people killed in a hit-and-run accident earlier this week. Police shut down the street and diverted traffic to protect the mourners.

The extremely frustrating thing about the downfall of Kim Gardner is that everyone knew it. Every single person who had ever interacted with the office had the same story and yet the media and politicians gave her a pass b/c they wanted her to be something she wasn't.
This is as close to the end for Kim Gardner as it gets. Teer was a stabilizer who brought cover amid constant turnover and mismanagement.

The City Foundry is such an asset to the City. When I went to SLU it was an abandoned Federal Mogul plant. Now it's thriving destination.

3) take a 20 min workout even if its not ideal. anything helps the mind
4) got a trainer - so i treat time at the gym as any other meeting on the calendar. if it's on the calendar it's a priority

St. Louis should really take a lesson from Cincinnati when it comes to OTR. We visit OTR/Cinci several times a years and it's fantastic.
Cincinnatis Over The Rhine neighborhood really is a special place. Obviously gorgeous architecture, but also fantastic pedestrian infrastructure. Multiple streets closed to cars, raised crosswalks, lovely tree canopy. This is a must visit for any urbanist.
