Maturity could be a major issue. You NEVER decline a visit request, as teams outside the top ten could trade up to get him if he drops past pick 6. If my staff/org/locker room is not top tier, I leave guys like this alone. Pro Day another warning ☢️.

My 2023 NFL Final Draft Report had nearly 73,000 words. So far, 43,000 words have been written for the 2024 Final Report. I'm getting a pretty good feel for each team as I write the recaps.

No real help. Mahomes, others sat 15 games as a rookie, doing so w/far more recent college experience. Lance was handled correctly. He'll be the starter in '22 at some point, and everyone knows it. This year is all about learning, practice reps, and not developing bad habits.

Thank you tweets (9). 2023 was my 43rd official season handicapping football and writing NCAA and NFL previews, draft reports, bowl reports, etc. It was my 3rd season of being more visible through social media. At this point in my life, sharing made sense.

This is a very underrated tweet. Happens in NCAA as well. Schemes and tendencies can change. Current personnel may not be right fit. Watch roster development, and even pay attention to preseason play calls.

Controversial Opinion (but the correct one, trust me).
I kick the 40-yd PK at 1:39 left, cutting lead to 31-24. Onside or not, doesn't matter, I have all 3 timeouts, and if I get a stop, worst I have is 1:15-1:20 left, no timeouts, TD to tie. Even one PI call helps. Final answer!

Football is hard. Wish everyone would step back and instead of criticizing teams/coaches, realize these were 2 good D's. You don't score on every drive. The ball is a funny shape. Defense matters. 75 minutes, wow, natural to get tired. Save your anger for the truly bad teams.

team summaries fully completed. Absolutely delighted with how it's turning out. Have been able to form conclusions based on all the work it takes to pull this off.
Hard on some teams, impressed by others. over 2,000 words/data for each team. 3 days left.
UPDATE: Now over 60,000 words for the '24 Report. Final summary (usually two long paragraphs) and grades all that's left for each team. Critical schedule analysis to be a separate document. Can't wait to discuss in upcoming team podcasts, likely starting around 5/22.

If true, big disconnect. Ferrell wasn't the edge rusher needed by Raiders at the time. But what about many other 1st round picks? Mayock and/or Gruden lost value with every first round pick they made. Made risky picks, and picks off one season of performance in some cases.
