2- The e-CNY/digital Yuan has been the Chinese party-state's strongest reaction to Bitcoin. Adoption has been lagging behind Bitcoin, WeChat Pay and Alipay w/ the digital Yuan processing about $14bn after two years (in that same timeframe, BTC did about $8.2tn in just one year).

I think the argument against Bitcoin as medium of exchange is an outdated model.
1- BTC has at least one nation backing it, similar to many sovereign nations, where you effectively can exchange it at all times. I have issues with this, but it effectively is true (El Salvador).

The thing about Bitcoin is that it literally is a chaos sponge - 24/7 global markets with large exchanges open and automated, and extreme sensitivity to leverage etc. But if you ignore the short-term chaos, you get access to long-term return.
