So…I wrote a book! I couldn’t find a good intro to Bitcoin book that covered all the aspects I thought were important, so I wrote one. I wrote this book for my mom to understand Bitcoin. I wrote this for all my friends whose eyes glaze over the moment Bitcoin is mentioned. I wrote this for everyone who has said, “But what if the government bans it?” or “Isn’t it just a Ponzi scheme?” or “Bitcoin is just too complicated for me.” I wrote this for all of them. Hopefully this book can help orange pill that person in your life that hasn’t been able to connect or grasp the importance of Bitcoin. I kept the price as low as possible in hopes that it reaches all the people it’s meant to reach. The paperback and kindle versions are available now. The hardcover should be out in a week or so. Our systems are broken: food, medical, education, government etc. Our medical system is reactive vs proactive. It’s easier and more lucrative to prescribe a pill than attack underlying problems. And the underlying problem to almost all of our broken systems is broken money. Fiat currency printed at will creates a high time preference yolo society. Live for today because your money is worth less tomorrow. You’ll never be able to catch up. You’ll work until you die. Bitcoin is the way out and the hope the world needs.

Listening to this now. @LukeGromen the best way to wrap your head around lightning is to run a lightning node, open some channels, and send and receive some payments. Until you visually see how the liquidity works on channels it’s really hard to grasp. There are lots of easy plug and play options now like @umbrel and @start9labs.
