Stumbled upon this lovely sandwich place in Bologna, paid over #Lightningā”ļø. The payment went through four hops but only cost 0.025% in fees. Thatās one well-managed node!

@hampus_s @softsimon_ @mullvadnet Yeah I agree. A limited number of channels with good peers would be my recommendation, and thatās how I have set up my payment node too.

@softsimon_ @mullvadnet I agree, itās a huge improvement and I will use it. I just wonder what the decision making was here and how can my work guide people to improve the network, payment success and fees. Lightning will have a hard time succeeding at 0.45% sender fees. 0.05% is possible today, easily.

@softsimon_ @mullvadnet Mine was even cheaper, but thatās still almost half a percent. It could be a tenth of that with better management

@EricDLombardi Why is the same box of Italian pasta 2-3x more expensive in Canada? Why does my local deli complain they canāt import certain goods from Italy?

@BitMEXResearch Weāll only use letters, such as I, V, X, L, C, D and M. The use of the greek alphabet for some mathematical applications shall be debated in the Senate

Discussions are already heating up in forums and chat groups. This is going to strengthen Lightning's network effects like nothing else before. A new global payment standard that anybody can join.ā”ā”ā”

@nonstopeurotrip Maybe about 1.9m? Shouldnāt be out of the ordinary, but thatās how I noticed how much smaller British trains are

@nonstopeurotrip What about the height? In Italy itās so comfortable to walk in a train, this one is from an Avanti Pendolino:

@gladstein @RMurathime I agree, but Iām concerned weāre going backwards. There are fewer services now that take Bitcoin than ten years ago, and especially useful services are still shutting down. Any place on BTCMap that has been verified more than 12 months ago is almost certain to no longer accept it
