2 strategic FDI projects are withdrawn from SL at a time investor confidence is crucial! Inability to negotiate a solution that benefits SL shows the sheer incompetence of NPP Govt. Imagine if these guys had to deal with sovereign debt negotiations!

No argument that there are questions about the process which should have happened under competitive bidding in 2021 and subsequent rates agreed in 2023. However it still costs far less than thermal power which we’ll be compelled to use if these type of projects continue to get delayed or axed. We should’ve been able to negotiate diplomatically given the importance of the parties involved. NPP acted immaturely on this since day 1.

NPP Govt hasn’t made a single worthwhile contribution of their own to economy, drags their feet on crucial decisions (if not avoid them at all), incompetence everywhere, contradicting messages by leadership, the list goes on… NPPrs - “Hey look Ranil and Mehdi Hassan” 🤦♂️

@SajithCooray Reasonable question. But I think given the inexperience of the current govt on lawmaking and constitution, it maybe in the best interest to get legal experts to handle task of this nature. In order to avoid the prosecutions carried out to be challenged later at SC on legality.

@Dileep_Wije @indika27 Customer has refund right for card not present transactions for most locally issued cards. Customer has to lodge a dispute.

@SankaChandima @samarajiva 1. This is on accusations on Rohan 2. Nonetheless, same theory applies in the case of Harini well. “Guilty until proven innocent” (and that to based on WhatsApp messages) is not how it works.
