I've received some lovely letters about #Windswept recently. My wee book was gifted quite a bit over Christmas. Thank you! Here, in today's late afternoon sun, are Red River Croft's hay meadows, rewilding river & 1yo native woods, all overlooked by Baosbhein & Beinn Alligin 😊

A mother-of-pearl morning! A sea of polished moonstone, sheets of azure-blue ice on red sands, gentle whispers of cold air but oh! even on a late winter's day, to feel the sun's warmth on my face was just wonderful 💙 I hope you can find peace too! Opinan beach, Scotland.

We sit together, the mountain and me, until only the mountain remains. from 'Zazan on Ching-t'ing Mountain' by Li Bai (701 - 762) Finding Slioch (981m) as we emerged, flailed and diminished, from a wicked hail storm. There he stood, prevailing.

Late afternoon. Gales paused for a few hours. A silvered sea & gilded sky. I watched a mother otter & her cub play-fish amongst glistening kelp exposed by the very low tide. They whistled their joy & out-sang oystercatchers piping theirs.
