servers don’t get paid a living wage. average table turn times are 45-60 minutes. meaning if you tipped 5 on a 112 dollar check, and stayed there an hour, you’re effectively paying them less than minimum wage for their work. it’s a lot more than just “walking back and forth” too.

I had a teacher make an exception for me my senior year because of a friend’s suicide and she let me turn in one big project a month rather than doing weekly work and it helped me so much with my mental health and my grades even improved. Love her for that :)

That prime rib is cooked, probably marinated, hence the "no seasoning" part-- the flavor is already infused in the meat, and isn't raw. Prime rib is meant to be cooked this way, and stays pink even at the point of being cooked.

but at places like the one i work at, servers average like three, maybe four an hour. they rely on good tips to make up for the lack of tables. i’ve said it a few times, but on the GOOD days, yes, they make good money and clear like 8 tables on average.
