Helper Discs are great to increase bed adhesion and limit warping when using higher temp filaments.
It is important though, to perform an additional step in order to merge the discs to the model, or the g-code paths will overlap, giving you less than desirable results 😉

Did you know that there is a highlight overhang slider that will show you which part of the model will be impacted by the overhang angle threshold in real time?

Modifiers in PrusaSlicer are the perfect way to reinforce parts of the print with additional layers, more and different infill, etc.
This can be done to any section of the model, so you’re not restricted to just a set of specific layers

Did you know that right-clicking the Auto-arrange icon in the top toolbar lets you adjust the gap between objects and enable auto rotation? This can create a more snug fit between objects and add that little extra room to fit a couple more when using the Auto-arrange feature😉

Did you know that if you have a model file which you use regularly, you can add it to the Shape Gallery in PrusaSlicer?
Right click, select “Add Shape” and then “Gallery”, followed by “Add” to locate the file. The model is now quickly available whenever you need it 🤓

Sometimes, models have hidden areas which can make painting them for multicolour seem impossible. That’s where the clipping slider comes handy, allowing you to clip the model and see a cross-section of it, in order to reach and paint those hidden spots 😉

Did you know that you can create recessed screw holes right in PrusaSlicer? Add a negative cylinder, resize it, copy and paste it again so it will be aligned and placed exactly in the same spot. Resize the cylinder to make it bigger, position it, and you’re done! 🤓

PrusaSlicer Top Tip 🤓
When using the Cut tool, try using a “Plug - Frustum - Circle” combo. The taper on the plug reduces the friction and is more forgiving with tolerances, making it easier to glue the parts together 😉

If you’re a CAD oriented person that enjoys Orthographic views, you can go to the Configuration menu -> Preferences, select Camera tab and uncheck “Use perspective camera”
This will come in quite handy for those precise cuts and for those of us who have a thing with knolling 😉

Ever used the search function?
Click on the magnifying glass, type a keyword, and a list with all settings containing that keyword will be shown. Choose a setting and PrusaSlicer will take you to that setting. It will also highlight the settings field with a flashing arrow 😉
