Emergency call from my dentist, 5PM. One teeth model was not delivered, patient is scheduled for tomorrow morning. “Alright, send me the STL.” Quick edit in Blender, slice it and start the SL1S SPEED. 1h later, done! (0.05 layer), ready for pickup :)

They will not get any rewards. We manually check every request for a voucher of every profile. It's our endless fight with people trying to game the system. We can detect even fairly sophisticated cheats like VPN bots. The ban hammer never sleeps. 🔨

Assembled another Original Prusa Enclosure pre-production unit today. Nice to see the little improvements the team is doing. Testing different manuals, tools to include, printed parts tolerances... Our offices are now swarmed with Enclosures 😅💪

Our favorite prank in the office recently - with a completely full spool of Prusament PETG Tungsten 75%, which weights about 5 kg, act like it's a normal spool and hand it over to someone. 🤣 Watching their arms go down and the shock in the face doesn't get old.

Every night stuff gets stolen from our booth at

. Models, filaments... even RedBulls from the mini fridge. Booths around us also reporting this.😞 Someone tried to steal a full size R2-D2 from nearby booth, but it was found broken on the way to the exit.

XL users, have you seen the new pre-print screen yet? :) If you've changed your spool setup after slicing the file, you can remap colors, setup spool-join, reload different materials... I think the UX/UI could use some love, but it's an awesome feature to have.

This is huge. Everyone who models in CAD can basically skip exporting and sharing STL files. Simply slice the STEP directly. And when you upload it to

also use STEP and it will be much easier for others to customize.
PrusaSlicer 2.5.0-beta1 is out - adding support for STEP files! We use the Open CASCADE Technology development platform to read and tessellate the STEP files. It is a CAD kernel also used e.g. by
@FreeCADNews
or
@kicad_pcb

I don't even know where to begin with this one. It should really be at least 3 huge release articles, but all the new things are interconnected. So let me point out 2 things that did not make the heading - SVG SUPPORT & CANCEL OBJECT directly on the printer!

Another awesome new PrusaSlicer 2.7 feature for MK4/XL/MINI owners? Plug in your printer's USB drive and Select "Configuration-WiFi Configuration File". A nice quick alternative to get the WiFi configured on your printer. :)
