I’ve had a great time in Iceland 🇮🇸
- It’s safe
- No litter
- Locals are incredibly hospitable
- Pride in their unique culture
- No riffraff
All achieved without mass migration, pandering to the woke mob or EU membership.
There’s a lot we can learn
A genuine argument I had the other day from a Leaver
‘Yes Brexit creates barriers but when the rest of the EU see what damage these barriers are doing to the U.K. they will open up their borders and allow us full access again.’
@EstherMcVey1
But that’s not why you posted it. It’s a deliberate deceit on your part to tweet easily verifiable lies. A simple search would disprove what is in this article. So you either were incompetent in not checking your facts first or you tweeted knowing they were lies. Which?
@DavidHenigUK
@DCBMEP
It’s astonishing David that after nearly 6 years Leavers still have not comprehended that the EU will not compromise the integrity of their SM for a non member. It’s like a bad version of Groundhog Day.
@Peston
@andrealeadsom
Leadsom whose government pulled votes, ignored the will of MPs abstained on opposition motions & has been held in contempt of Parliament can NOT stand up with sense of moral outrage considering her & her governments behaviour. It is SHE who has shown no respect to Parliament
@Nigel_Farage
2016 - Remainers - if Brexit happens many highly skilled people will leave the U.K. Leavers - Project Fear! 2023 - Leavers - It’s appalling that so many skilled workers are leaving the U.K. You were warned so you haves reaped what you have sown mate.
@RogerHelmerMEP
Someone has a job. Their wages feed their children. They lose it due to the coronavirus. Roger says these people should have developed the ability to see into the future & not have kids and because of this shocking lack of temporal ability all children should now starve to death
@BootstrapCook
@mrjamesob
Love the tag Jack for anyone who doesn’t know this is from Terry Pratchett’s character Commander Vimes who developed the Vimes Boots of economic theory and it is absolutely spot on

‘I am not saying Jess Phillips is racist’
Yesterday
‘My view is that Ms Phillips' extreme and unprompted hostility towards me is motivated by my race.’

They will be here taking all our unemployment benefits while simultaneously stealing our jobs by simultaneously being lazy and working all the hours god sends.
@BestForBritain
Wouldn’t it be just terrible if this video of Lee Anderson was retweeted. After all we wouldn’t want to surpress freedom of the press would we Lee?
@simonharris_mbd
Well as Jesus was supposed to be a virgin birth I think Joseph in particular would have been rather surprised if a potential father turned up.
@allisonpearson
It a unique take that a country is responsible for a random mutation in a virus. If we follow this down the logical route then the British and Spanish should pay reparations for wiping out Native Americans when they introduced diseases they had no immunity for. Agreed Alison?
@Otto_English
@GuidoFawkes
The snobbery of the right wing towards the socially mobile working class still amazes me. Perhaps Guido thinks you should only be wealthy if you inherited the money.
@archer_rs
The Brexit promised was impossible to deliver. The EU would never allow the U.K. frictionless access to its SM as a non member or by dividing the 4 freedoms. Also to quote Leavers it only said Leave on the ballot paper. It never said how.
@johnthebrexile
@nicktolhurst
The problem is Brexit has still not been fully implemented by the U.K. yet. When it is it will cause big problems. I now believe the U.K. is using NI to try to blackmail the EU into allowing frictionless access again before they have to fully implement Brexit.
@JackElsom
The report is not based on Gray's report.
The report is based on evidence in the form of material supplied by the government to the committee in November, evidence from witnesses who were present at the time of the gatherings
Gray was not present and is not one of those witnesses
@bbclaurak
It’s beginning to look like she lied to them just to avoid defeat in the vote and had no intention of honouring her personal assurances but the problem will return next week and this time the rebels won’t trust her whatever she says.
@DPJHodges
@conabaraday
Let’s follow that logic shall we? A number of Tory MPs have been found guilty of sexual misconduct. By you logic that makes the entire Tory party the party of sexual misconduct. Correct?
@Jacob_Rees_Mogg
Barnier said all the way back in 2016 that Brexit can never be seen as good as EU membership so this is not news. The EU now treats the U.K. differently not as punishment but because the U.K. is no longer a member.
@damocrat
JRM - I accept the result but think she should resign. Ok Jacob on that logic I accept the result of the 2016 referendum but think we should remain.
@FabianZuleeg
It is ironic that Leavers tell Scotland it would be suicidal to leave their biggest single market while advocating the U.K. leaving their biggest single market 🤷🏼♂️
@campbellclaret
Considering the language the Tories are using against Labour and in particular Sadiq Khan I think it’s beyond disingenuous to complain about the language people are using against the Tories atm. If the Tories can take it then don’t dish it out.
@JEGullisnotMP
@mrjamesob
But remember we have also been thwarting Brexit and the Remoaners have stopped the U.K. from advancing to those sunlit uplands. Makes me think if we are so all powerful how did Remain lose the referendum?
@andrewrawnsley
I remember her last speech as PM in which she said ‘compromise is not a dirty word’ after spending month after month refusing to compromise on her Brexit deal and in talks with Labour expecting Corbyn to compromise instead of her.
"Should it reach more than 17.4 million respondents then I'm sure there would be a very clear case for taking action"
Commons Leader Andrea Leadsom on
#RevokeArticle50
petition that crashed Parliament website
@JolyonMaugham
As I’ve been saying to Leavers Jo simply saying ‘the British people voted for it’ does not magically change the impossible to the possible. The British people could, for example, vote to abolish the Law of Gravity. We still couldn’t implement it despite people voting for it.
@Otto_English
Brexit means the freedom to frantically spend 2 hours trying to find the right charger for your device instead of the tyranny of USB-C when it will just take a couple of minutes to find the right charger.
Thanks for all replies and RTs. After reading them I will add that this isn’t the first time I have heard this type of argument as it’s a new version of EU are punishing us, being vindictive etc. But if they now acknowledge that barriers are causing damage than it’s progress
@AmirPars_
@mrjamesob
They do but not under the Bill proposed by Braverman. Anyone who comes by boat will not be offered any protection under British modern slavery laws.
@mrjamesob
With the Guardian picture tonight James many are still holding to ‘The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.’ And that is exactly the line No 10 is pushing based on their statement.
@JimMFelton
@Andrew_Adonis
I’m sure if Andrew feels it’s that important he will happily volunteer as a TA at his local school to get it reopened. As I’m also sure
@IsabelOakeshott
@toadmeister
are calling their local schools right now to do the same.
@DPJHodges
He didn’t stay at home. He went to a second home. Millions of parents who had COVID stayed at home and looked after their kids by themselves. He broke the rules. The government have sacked 2 scientific advisors for doing this so you tell me Dan why is this different?

As someone who is married to an immigrant I can tell you that there are real, &tragic reasons on why my wife wants to leave her home. She feels picked on, blamed, unappreciated &the atmosphere is too toxic for her. When my wife becomes self conscious of her accent it’s time to go
@mrjamesob
Just trying to imagine how much of the tax payers money the government has pissed against the wall on a pointless case which every legal expert said they would lose.
