@wartranslated
In Russia’s defense, the Ukrainian 23rd Independent Tractor Brigade has been extremely effective.
I can see why they would target the poor John Deere’s.
@albafella1
Compelling video:
- Wounded at close range
- Still assaults objective
- Good self-evac back to safety
- Battle buddy doesn’t get distracted, and keeps attacking
- Good self-aid
- Next buddy immediately renders good aid
UKR has solid infantry!
@kvistp
He is trying to launch a grenade from a so-called “cup launcher.” A couple of issues:
- He double loads the launcher (:7 seconds and :27 seconds)
- It appears he uses a live round (:16 seconds) instead of the blank round he should use [can’t tell definitively from the video, but
@DasRgen4
Obviously you are correct. However, I’m starting to run out of shelf space for all the useful ships in the Black Sea Fleet. Why are you expanding to the Baltic? Do I need a bigger shelf?
@wartranslated
Classic: They attempt another assault across the same field, apparently hoping to catch the Ukrainians by surprise, since no one would be stupid enough to mount a frontal assault across the exact same terrain two times in a row. He seems genuinely surprised assault

@NOELreports
Sources close to the Ukrainian MOD say the Ukrainian 1st Independent Tractor Brigade 🚜 are fully prepared for the arrival of the T-14s, and have four tractors on alert.
@gr1mrea9er
@Seveerity
Also notice the hearing protection that is protecting his temple and not his ear! Classic rookie mistake.
Pro safety tip: NEVER fire the AT-4 without hearing protection.
@Sputnik_Not
Why does everyone throw shade on the Russian claims?
The following have been visually confirmed, so 57 out of 18 HIMARS is totally plausible.
@wartranslated
If only there was a boat conveniently anchored 20 meters away with an engine and calm seas…
On the other hand, one less Russian Su-25 pilot is good for humanity.
@DefenceU
Totally false! Russia has destroyed 403% of all the HIMARS delivered so far (and into 2025)!
See this totally real Russian MOD photo for proof.
@bayraktar_1love
Let me be the first to congratulate the (former) crew of the Sergei Kotov for successfully intercepting 5 sneaky Ukrainian sea drones! Those drones will never threaten what’s left of the Russian navy again.
Russian MOD did confirm the Kotov was “slightly damaged.”
@Gerashchenko_en
I’m no historian, but I seem to recall Stalin allied himself with Hitler and invaded and partitioned Poland in 1939 before Hitler inevitably turned on his “ally.”
It’s understandable why the Poles aren’t thrilled with the so-called of getting their land back.
@vicktop55
@amyltrer
Don’t forget that each Armata also needs its own armored recovery vehicle.
On the other hand, the Ukrainian 112th Independent Tractor Brigade will be happy to haul them off the battlefield when they break down, and their marginally trained crews surrender.
@front_ukrainian
Very minor point, but it appears the Ukrainians were using MGM-140A. The main difference with the 140B/D is the slightly increased range due to decreased warhead weight (130km vs 165km). Both use the M74 APAM submunitions.
I hope they also get MGM-168As - 300km+ range!
@Tendar
I’m his defense, he is correct - they are narcissists far above and beyond being patriotic.
Russian air defense continues its comical performance. I applaud their consistency.
I, too, am out of popcorn.
@igorsushko
It’s amateur hour at the Kremlin!
If you don’t have sleeve medals and thigh medals, are even really trying?
Good luck vying for 12th place Andrei.
@Tendar
They are also low on armored recovery vehicles, since every 3 Russian parade tanks require at least 1 recovery asset.
I see the irony, since there are probably legitimate security concerns. Wait until next year: they’ll have to cancel in Moscow!
@general_ben
I am not a geologist, but I have it on good authority concrete and highly unstable when exposed to high explosives and sustained heat from fire.
The Kerch bridge’s days are numbered, and cracks are probably the least of its concerns.
@DefMon3
No worries. The 242nd Ukrainian Independent Tractor Brigade has placed 4 tractors in reserve, just in case all 4 of Russia’s T-14s somehow end up in Ukraine.
They will not clutter the roadways, and delays are expected to be minimal.
@secretsqrl123
You’re focusing on the negatives! The 141st does have:
- Plentiful GoPro cameras
- Terrible sound tracks
- Fertile imaginations
I look forward to many new, barely tolerable TikTok videos.
You’re right about the goats though…
@NOELreports
Improvised armor (“Hillbilly armor”) made from what looks like John Deere tractor ballast weights (photo of weights credit John Deere).
My guess: they found them on a Ukrainian farm, looted them and welded them on. Useless, but probably makes the crew feel better.
@anno1540
Oh no. Good thing Putin didn’t think of this brilliant strategy 18 months ago.
So, one week to regain the strategic initiative for Russia? Not going to happen.
@Gerashchenko_en
Let me be the first to congratulate the (former) crew of the Sergei Kotov for successfully intercepting 5-6 sneaky Ukrainian sea drones! Those drones will never threaten what’s left of the Russian navy again.
Russian MOD did confirm the Kotov was “slightly damaged.” (Please
@secretsqrl123
Agreed. They lack the supplies, training cadre and infrastructure to train more than ~350,000/year. And that’s to a minimum standard.
The sooner they realize the war is lost and withdraw, the better for everyone.
@KyivIndependent
These are the indicative estimates of Ukraine’s losses due to Russian looting as of Dec 28.
Due to usual Russian pre-retreat looting in Kreminna, losses were heavy today.
No known new raccoons abducted!
@IAPonomarenko
Just so I’m clear, this “demilitarization” scheme runs concurrently with the “militarization”scheme of Finland and Sweden?
Because the militarization portion is going very well.
@Tendar
Why are you being mean to Russian air defense?
They did not shoot down their own A-50U (again) today! That is a great success.
Glory to Russian Air Defense, and the refinery successfully intercepted that sneaky Ukrainian drone.
@reshetz
Breaking: Russian MOD has confirmed Ivanovets was “slightly damaged.”
Also, great call on spotting that 76mm auto-loading crane (before the slight damage).
It was obviously a peaceful construction ship before it heroically advanced to the sea bed!
@simpatico771
I don’t know if you’ve been keeping up with current events, but the 31st Guards Air Assault Brigade was mauled during the battle of Hostomel.
For historical accuracy, he should be carrying a stolen toilet, not an RPG!
@DasRgen4
A little confusion about who is supposed to be doing the sanctions enforcement.
Don’t worry your pretty little head. We’ll get this all cleared up by 2028!
@WarMonitors
This is what happens when you use Google translate. What Medvedev really said was:
“The T-90M bows down to the Leopard and Abrams tanks, as well as Sherman tanks and raccoons. Don’t even get me started on the Carl Gustav, why can’t the Swedes just stick to making furniture?”
@NOELreports
Put this in perspective:
- RUS hasn’t managed a battalion-level+ offensive since July 2022
- Wagner (technically illegal) is the 1 RUS unit showing any progress
- Wagner’s progress (RUS main effort) is literally measured in blocks
- RUS has tried for 9 months to take UKR’s 54th
@Tendar
Highly unlikely it was destroyed:
- Lancet charge is too small (1-4kg)
- Looks like all the white smoke is from Leopard’s smokescreen canisters being set off (yellow circle)
- Explosion is black smoke (visible first 3 seconds after impact) - from Lancet
- Fire suppression (Halon)
@Tendar
Excellent point. I, too, was expecting more from the T-90M. No catastrophic turret toss like the T-72, but crew survivability is clearly still an afterthought.
May they be driven back to Russia soon…
@wartranslated
Once again, I find myself in near total agreement with my second favorite war criminal. His analysis is spot on. Good thing no senior Russian leaders listen to him.
Russian Bakhmut strategy is also helpfully captured in this informative infographic.
@2uwmp
Bad signs for what’s left of the Russian army:
- Mismatched “uniforms” and tactical gear
- Lack of body armor
- Appears they were bunched up when killed
- Also appears they were surprised walking down the road
- All symptoms of a poorly disciplined army
@wartranslated
The unintended irony is he probably didn’t have to request fire on his position. Russians have been pretty about hitting their own troops with friendly fire on their own.
Poor acting, unbelievable plot line, and modest production value. I award 1.5 stars.
@Gerashchenko_en
They don’t appreciate the irony: 50+ nations support Ukraine, so they conclude it must be some sort of international Satanist cabal.
The better explanation is that 50+ nations support Ukraine because of Russia’s unprovoked invasion.
When it’s 50-1, maybe you’re the bad guy!
@nexta_tv
Must have been that time you allied yourself with the Nazis, invaded and divided the country, and subsequently occupied it for five decades.
I think contempt and pity are the more accurate description of how Poles feel, but I like where you’re going with this.
@front_ukrainian
I fondly remember my M-ATV. Good piece of gear. Glad to see they’ve still of use. We made some minor modifications:
- Dual mount (M2 + 240B)
- Sunshade
- Ammo rack on back of turret
I hope they added cup holders…
@bayraktar_1love
Well done Russian Air Defense!
Promote that battery commander, and give him some assets to “supervise.”
You’re doing a great job. No need to change a thing! Mother Russia (and the UAF) thank you.
@markito0171
Yes, 100%! Even though no Patriots were harmed in the filming of that potato-quality video, I can confirm southern Ukraine is now a free fly zone for Russian aircraft. Send in the (remaining) A-50U, Su-34 and Su-35s.
Looks like Russia might have hit a German MAN KAT 1 8x8 truck.
@wartranslated
Girkin gives refreshingly accurate and insightful analysis. Good thing no one Russian leadership listens to him.
I think the 1917 reference is to the collapse of the Russian Army and subsequent revolution. It’s coming.
Russian position summarized in this helpful infographic.
@reshetz
Well, the Soviets ruined my whole family’s life (the first and second time) they invaded Poland, so you’ve got a little catching up to do.
But, a week is a great start!
@albafella1
No one can know what’s going on in Dagestan until Russia figures out how Ukraine was behind it.
This one is a little harder than usual, so it might take them a few hours…
@wartranslated
Due to pre-regrouping looting by Russians in Kreminna, Ukraine has moderate losses.
No known additional raccoon losses. Long Live Private Raccoon!
@Tendar
False: the primary target was obviously a kindergarten or preschool.
It appears one Russian missile went off course and accidentally damaged a Patriot launcher.
@Bodbe6
Well done:
- Solid small unit tactics/trench clearing
- Maintain momentum despite taking casualties
- Good comms during battle
- Awareness of drones, but don’t waste time on things you can’t control
- Good fire and maneuver with multiple elements
- Good use of grenades,
@victoriaslog
No. Not another 3-day Special Military Operation!
There aren’t enough tractors left in Russia to tow their tanks into position. Maybe focus on indoor plumbing and mall security.
Just a word to the wise (and Russia).
@shrimpfella
Unfortunately, no. The F-16 is really the most useful for Ukraine right now. This will be a little long but:
- The A-10s might have been useful in the first couple of months of the war against static columns of Russians, where the A-10s could attack forward Russian elements with
