Shocking numbers but not surprised at all. In 5y of GenSurg training/practice in Peru,I only prescribed opioids a handful of times. Moved to US and had to quickly learn opioids prescription to meet US”standards” (also learned an absurd amount of medical acronyms. ) #opioidcrisis.

#ASTRO20 SINGLE fraction SBRT for liver metastases presented by @DrMikeFolkert @UTSW_RadOnc. N=33 patients (39 lesions) treated to 35 or 40 Gy in 1 fx. 4-year local control 96.2%, 3 Grade 2 toxicities, 0 Grade 3-5 toxicities. Regimen appears effective, safe and convenient.
