Excited to announce UC Davis Medical Center is one of the few hospitals on the West Coast that offers the treatment called Hepatic Aartery Infusion chemotherapy (HAI), an innovative treatment now available for patients who may not qualify for surgery.

Look at you- so proud! My biggest inspiration is to create a neoadjuvant platform for colorectal liver metastases to study novel immune-targeted therapies and improve patient outcomes.

Way beyond assimilation!!! AND you are a surgical leader and helped many like myself, who also happens to be from a third world country, first in family to go to college, w/ top graduate training and helping thousands of Americans of all race and color.
@SyedAAhmad5
I migrated from a third world country. I’m a proud American. Didn’t speak English when I got here. I’ve been educated at top institutions. I’ve helped save thousands of lives. I’ve contributed to science and education. I’ve ASSIMILATED WELL, just not based on your definition.

Succinct example of gender bias right here. It seems Dr. White and Dr. Simpson’s academic achievements weren’t worth highlighting, while those of their male colleagues were. I wonder if anyone even knows what these women have achieved.

That’s such a pet peeve of mine! Pls stop thinking it’s all hemorrhoids. Those are the patients who then present to me with bilateral liver mets bc nobody checked.

Arghavan. Yes, that’s my first name, not my last name.
No, I don’t “go by” anything else. I don’t have a nickname that might be easier for you.
And I am not

, although I’m honored to be confused for her because she’s a badass.

Just before my ERCP I asked my gastroenterologist about the tisk of pancreatitis. He said 5% casually, and I went under sedation thinking that sounded high. Woke up with severe pancreatitis (of course). If it happens to you it is 100%🤦🏼♂️
An appeal to colleagues who slip the word ‘just’ in before an action/event that’s actually a big deal to someone else but not them: Please stop. Examples: It’s just an outpatient procedure. You’re just an endocrine surgeon.
