This. Thanks.
As a physician, would just ask that you give grace. The first patient may have had a new devastating diagnosis (leukemia, brain tumor) or was suicidal. The physician may have miscarried on the way to work, gotten a call that their own parent was in the ED, or needed to find last minute care for their own sick child, and they pushed through to be there for their patients. We show up every day for our patients. We put their needs before our own. But we are humans. And physicians are leaving practice in droves given the pressures. And some are devastatingly taking their own lives. I am sure the pediatrician would have loved to have been on time. So again, please just give grace.
