Pancreatitis is caused by Tityustoxin specific to the Tityus serrulatus scorpion family, which went extinct after researchers exhaustively hunted them down for research >a decade ago. So technically in 2020, “scorpion bites” is a wrong answer to “name a cause of pancreatitis”.

Don’t worry, none of the 7 are being used for routine cholecystectomies 🤓.
Our residents have access to 7 DaVinci robots, 1 training robot, robotics curriculum, and in-service training sessions. All residents are encouraged to complete their robotic certification, and our chief residents have the option to book their cases robotically!

I tell trainees that there'll be a⚠️time when you know enough to think you're right, but not enough to know you're wrong. Arrogance replaces confidence.& you start antagonizing consultants from other fields. Resist it. Team-based care benefit pts, & sentiments⬇️ only harm them.

This needs to be said: In 2024, most surgeons doing🤖🔪do it to replace their open cases, not lap cases. We’d do easy cases lap because it’s quicker, & use🤖(wristed) for tougher cases. Most are not “practicing”. No amount of🤖chole will prep you for a🤖Whipple. ❌work that way.

As a 🤖 HPB surgeon, I think this is a terrible idea and am shocked it passed peer review. This “innovation” traded critical view of safety for one less 5mm port. Single-handedly undid @SAGES_Updates’ safe CCY taskforce. 5mm ports are free. Don’t compromise safety to save them.

Differences in @MGHSurgery clinic view in a span of an Oct week. As one puts it, “variation keeps it interesting, why wouldn’t you want to come here?” 😂. Yes, we prioritize clinic experience (decision-making) as much as the OR. Looking forward to meeting prospective applicants!
