Sadly, it's way tougher to leave now than it was 15-20 yrs ago. US has long queues to GC, Canada almost going through a crisis, EU has high taxes, low salaries & high inflation with lot of sudden influx of taxpayer dependent crowd. One can only hope there's a way out in future.

Lot of people overspend on school where instead they should try to save enough for higher education abroad. Beyond a point it doesn't help investing in school in India because you're fate is going to be decided by entrance exam anyway if you plan to stay here.
My son is in UKG. I am paying 1.25lakhs pa as his school fees. The cost of other lil stuff like uniform stationary items etc is around 10-15k . Should I stop this and instead invest 1.5L pa in equity so that by the time he's 18 he'll earn enough just sitting at home???.
