@cutlerstom @russbmckenzie @JanetHughes @KapilaSandy Yes, unfortunately though I have an RPA agent telling me via email that the options can't be in the same parcel - so it isn't just a computer fault, seems to be a training problem as well.

@russbmckenzie @cutlerstom @JanetHughes @KapilaSandy I can't believe this is by design - for one thing the handbook is quite clear on it IMO - so it's even worse that it seems to be a problem with the implementation.

@cutlerstom @JanetHughes @KapilaSandy What kind of scheme allows only one option per parcel? It is infuriating.

@Tamblyn_Ben @dikesmarshfarm @JanetHughes @KapilaSandy This sort of thing is exactly the reason I didn't want to have HT, MT, SFI23 and SFI24 agreements all existing at the same time. However, if I want to go into SFI24, there is no other choice.

@FarmerAndyH @JanetHughes @KapilaSandy I waited months to apply as apparently was going to be able to roll up SFI23 and MT into one new agreement with SFI24. Eventually gave up as RPA would give no timeline for being able to do this. Only to find out I can't apply at all anyway. 🙄

@dikesmarshfarm @JanetHughes @KapilaSandy Similar here. Email agent saying that it's the AB8 that isn't compatible, and pointing me towards handbook. However handbook pretty clearly says they can't be on the same area (logical), not that they can't be in the same parcel (ludicrous)

@topheadfarm No, because this is still less than IHT, so incentivises investment in ag land from non farmers

@PaulBGip Yes, they pretty much are fixed. But regardless, if you have CGT lower than IHT, you create an undesirable incentive.

@PaulBGip No, because CGT is less than IHT, so you are still giving large incentives to non farmers to buy farmland.

@Jes_Squirrell @Tom_Clarke @ChrisTurves @paddytt2 yes, how else would a system be fair and workable? You could use rollover relief, but I personally think that is an unfair exemption that should be abolished.

@steveridsda @DanNeidle Won't work, as you are still incentivising tax avoidance using farmland.
