The public need to be made aware this is not just a Met Police issue, it’s happening all over the country. Whilst these abusers can rely on their colleagues to cover up for them, this issue will not go away and will only get worse.

@ImanZayna @MrNoCorruption Unfortunately some people are still being misled & want to believe they can receive justice & impartiality. Unfortunately we’re in positions where crimes have been committed & of course they may offer up a review to keep some people happy & to take the spotlight from elsewhere.

@FlossGriffiths How can it not be criminal that they neglected their duty to protect the public so badly that they allowed this sexual predator and many more like him to be given the power and the opportunity to misuse that power for abuse for years!

@ProjectPEEL I think it’d be extremely helpful to provide information on what to do or who you can contact if you suffer retaliation from police ie “welfare visits”, inaccurate information added to your record or to social care, being over-policed as punishment

@LadyK06627993 @BentexTv @SheriffNottz @nottspolice @nobody_poor I have heard stories of how much worse my situation would’ve been dealt with if I was a female officer raising a complaint about a colleague. I’ve heard stories of perpetrators promoted and victims managed out of the job. It shouldn’t be that way!

@Fhamiltontimes @nottspolice maybe you need to take some responsibility of your own officers to avoid this very situation

@justice4mum2 I’m so sorry she felt this way ❤️ I can totally understand though, I struggled more to recover from the controlling behaviour, the threats and emotional abuse. I only recently feel I’m getting back to my old self, though I’m still constantly hyper-vigilant

@DannikaStewart I was advised by my solicitor in family court that Judges don’t like it when you mention domestic abuse so it’s best not to. They get paid to deal with it, whether they like it or not.

@PoliceMeToo @DannyShawNews @metpoliceuk My rapist was protected by his police colleagues, and I was treated like the criminal. And they then “cloaked” the information from Family Court so that they made a safeguarding decision without knowing he was being investigated for rape and domestic abuse against me.
