'Little John': The hour bell at #Nottingham Council House. Cast by world-famous bell founders John Taylor & Co of Loughborough in 1927. The 10.5 tonne bell is the 5th heaviest in the UK and the E-flat tone has the deepest tone in the country which can be heard up to 7 miles away.

HP Sauce was invented in 1884 by Frederick Gibson Garton, a grocer from #Nottingham . He registered the name H.P. Sauce in 1895 after hearing that a restaurant in the Houses of Parliament had begun serving it.
