Very rightly mentioned, it's a regular feature of Mumbai Pune expressway... Authorities start with a one week drive and after that everything is back to normal, which is worst especially after 10 p.m.

This is a regular feature on Mumbai Pune Expressway. Heavy vehicles driving in a parallel pattern as they are trying overtake each other & also occupying the first lane. Many of these vehicles don't have working tail lamps. The authorities seem to be asleep.

Sometimes it looks entire traffic jam is stage managed by the toll operator colliding with the several bike mechanics who stand near the Amrutanjan Bridge in the pretext of repairing the cars and looting the travellers. I myself was a victim, one summer a few years back.

Today 7am- an accident at the superbly designed Khopoli exit (towards Mumbai). 1 of the 3 vehicles involved was a tanker carrying methanol with visible fumes! haunted by the megaphone relentlessly announcing the directions in the background as we tried to drive out of this chaos.
