With the current series being rebooted; can we get a Thomas & Friends spinoff using the amazing Narrow Gauge Engine renders (update Duncan) to retell the RWS books?
What would this be called?
Firstly I want to say a huge Thank you to
@KiwiConductor
and Unhelpful Git (not sure if he has Twitter) for creating the Hatt Brothers, as always the work is beautiful!
The Skarloey Railway is EXTREMELY underutilized in terms of hilarious character dynamics like that’s a sitcom waiting to happen if you’re brave enough (and sometimes people are and it’s the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen)

"Falcon and Stuart were sold to the British Aluminium Company, and worked at the Peel Godred extension site.
But they never forgot about Duke."
Here you go buddy,
@ModelsSodor
- my rendition (not my best tbh) of your illustration. 👍
I don’t have any current models but it has been great seeing everyone’s dioramas.

With the same spirit; here is some digital art that recreates the scenes from the books (and two unseen illustrations) from my DeviantArt
Around 2003 in Chile, when the original trilogy of Star Wars began airing on television there, they did this funny thing to avoid cutting to commercial breaks. They stitched the commercials into the films themselves. Here is one of them, with the English dub added in.
How come no one talks about the fact that Bill & Ben are named after the characters in the 1952 TV program Flower Pot Men?
Or that they are based on the Port of Par locos which used the naming scheme Punch & Judy after the puppet show?
More of Awdry's clever real life parallels

Once upon a time, there were three little engines who lived in their own little shed on their own little railway. Their names were Duke, Stuart and Falcon.
Oh and that other engine No.2

“As usual; our models are a combination of Thomas and Friends and Talyllyn detailing.”

This is great news for Duncan fans!
My Interpretation of David Mitton's East Sodor interpretation.
The Skarloey Railway looping around with the Mid Sodor weaving through the middle makes so much sense why they share locations.
Marked Locations match known Series 4 Coordinates approx. My influences below:

Don't get me wrong,it's nice but Duncan looks even more out of place like this. Like it's not like the other Narrow gauge engines in CGI were just replicas of their basis. He looks just out of place.
If bachmann are going to give all their Thomas Narrow Gauge engines the Talyllyn repaint treatment hopefully that's incentive not to make CGI Duncan because yeesh
Amazing Peter Sam model by Bachmann. I’m glad to see accurate wheels on the TVS model.
Please please when making Duncan, make him accurate to his Talyllyn-basis and not the Television series CGI model. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Now that we've officially revealed our first sample of Peter Sam in HO/OO (009), we figured we should show off some closer detail shots! **Note: this is an UNPAINTED sample** Production models will wear his full color scheme!
Education Time.
Sir Handel’s trailing wheels are NOT his ‘steamroller’ wheels.
He got trailing wheels on the Mid Sodor to stop bouncing 1910.
He got giving brand new extra wide drive wheels to stop him falling between the tracks 1961. Hence they’re like steamroller wheels.

FYI the ‘Percy and Harold’ sequence in Letters to Santa is actually based on the Railway Series illustrations not the television ‘Percy and Harold’ episode.
If anyone doesn’t like
@SamsTrains
then don’t watch his YT channel.
Stop trying to cancel him (or anyone else) for the sake of it.
We already have enough problematic people in our fandoms without going on witchhunts.

Work in Progress 00 Gauge Model Railway Track plan
"Brendam Bay"
Based on the layout briefly seen in Series 3, where Bill and Ben are seen working in Heroes. (loosely based on Par Harbour where Alfred and Judy worked.)

Following Peter Sam's accident; the Thin Controller acquired a spare engine to help run the Railway.
Sir Handel: "I don't need help. I can run this railway by myself."
"Yer bum's oot the windae, ye bloo bawbag!"
Needless to say, Sir Handel did not like the new engine.
