@BeckyBeefJerky Btw, older women can develop a type of color blindness that makes these colors hard to see. And they often don't know that's happening. It might look kinda orange to her.

Hey everyone, if you could say a quick prayer for strength for my daughter. She's in college. Her instructor has said some very anti-Catholic & anti-Christian comments, so she wanted to make sure to get ashes before class to announce she's Catholic. She just left for class.

@TheFoxMatriarch I don't know if that's hilarious or insanely depressing. What if there was an issue and they said abstain for the rest of pregnancy? Plus a min of 6 weeks post child birth. Self control people, self control.

I'm asking for prayers for my daughter. She's sad about her illness and intimidated by needing to ask for a second opinion. This is sad and difficult.

@ImWatson91 @detransaqua @cantstop_rosie True. This was a common feeling among women with cancer. Everyone thought is was almost silly to feel that way. Grieving is hard, but it's important to know breasts don't make a woman.

At least three kids had ashes! (25 class) The teacher was surprised since he usually doesn't see it & asked why. (She said, they probably go to evening Mass). He proceeded with class, but walked over to them & added that priests have more sexual abuse than any other religion.

@Just_Natalie_K @eviepilled I tried to tell my family with a kid transitioning, that they needed a clear path back. They needed it mentally for everyone to know there's a real option to come back. They refused to consider it.

Apparently there's a massive snow storm coming through. 12-24" or 36" We'll see how much we'll get. Our power has started flashing. I might be off Twitter for a few days. (Nothing to complain about. We're warm, safe, and have food.).

@milagracesmom If you can close off a room, and toddler proof it then you can lay down there. The living room has a couch so it's pretty awesome that way. I baby gated it off so I could lay down and he'd stay there. Plus he was safe if I needed to dash off. 🚽.

If anyone wants to pray for us. Finals week for the kids. They're stressing. Daughter has appointment with new neuro Thursday. Er last week as her intermittent leg weakness added tremors and double vision. With a "not negative" MRI. But they don't know what it is. It's scary.

@prntgdcolonized I watched parenting videos my sis uses, and realized you can't do it. It's exhausting and you'll snap out of control at the kids. To which the gentle parenting people said, don't listen to anyone else, don't it will be bad! . You just need to pay for another session with us. 🤦♀️.

Prayers please that we can find out why my daughter's having leg weakness that sometimes won't let her walk or only walk with a cane. (Or for total healing!). It's so hard to wait weeks & weeks to see a specialist only to have a cursory exam & then told not my department. 😭.

I'm leaning more towards just blocking some protestants. It just feels like I'm letting evil into my life. I don't think I'll understand where ever they are coming from, and they have no interest in actually explaining. Just in telling me, om going to hell.

@ThyGeekdomCome I'm so sorry! (not a fan of fr Ripperger, nor am I trad but) when I saw him he did tell people not to do this. We shouldn't run around worried about demons. They're rare. I didn't hear him say illness is a sign either. When I saw him he was clear. I'm stunned they said that.

To whoever had a baby crying at Mass today, I just wanted you to know. You brought joy to the couple in front of us. She was so happy to hear a baby. At one point something fell startling 2 babies who made a 3rd cry, who woke up a baby in our row. Joyful to hear new life!.

@NotScottNewgent Thank you, We are taught not to be rude or hateful, but that doesn't mean endorsing something they think is wrong. There's a HUGE list of people who can't get married in the Church. (The statement was also misleading, and I think that was terribly hurtful. Not helpful.).

@DaystarJoni I'm having health problems that might be really serious. It's interfering with normal life. I'm having a hard time getting some of the tests I need. (Then I've developed terrible rashes they think were triggered by stress. Hopefully it's nothing more serious.).

@MrCasey62 IDK about fr Ripperger. He sounded mostly ok when I saw him in person, but since then I've seen some things he's said that really shouldn't be said. I'm not sure what happened, but for a while I approached with caution. Now I avoid him.

Later he put up a retraction that he just meant sleep training & it was a few minutes. (Other post about beating kids being necessary were up). Someone called CPS.

@detransaqua We are torn apart. My sister won't talk to me because I wouldn't punish her daughter for acting like a girl because she's a "boy," & I shared articles about the risks of medical transition. She transitioned at 3. And now is 12ish 😔.

@NotScottNewgent I think it's this is a good way to go. Teach them to cook to, but why not be kind and hospitable too? . I.also.strongly advice making your house a hang out. It's easier to keep your finger on the pulse this way.

@mandalynns23 This also cracks me up. I remember thinking it was so unfair my folks got coffee at restaurants, but only let us get water. I thought coffee is an exception. My dad said, "no, parents don't have the same rules." I was 😮 but the lesson stuck. We aren't equal. 😂.
