A friend took me to the early voting site today. After voting we went to lunch at a new (to me) place & ate & talked for over 2 hrs.

On Sat., 4/27/91, Emily was hiking with friends in the mtns. near Moab, Utah when she fell over 200 ft. to her death. I rec’d a call at 9:30 that evening informing me of her death.
Emily was 26 yrs. old.
It’s been 33 yrs. I will never stop missing her. 😭

Friends, I sent my letter to my sister this am. I got a very positive response back from her. This pm,we talked for an hour on the phone……a catch up on each other’s life conversation. It went well.

If parents are the abusers, you don’t “get over” that profound a betrayal. It’s taken yrs. of therapy, with an excellent therapist, to experience love for myself, and to feel at peace. None of it was my fault. I was a child. Finally, I understand. 🙏

Chocolate cherry sunflowers (Helianthus annuus) are easy to grow and can be great cut flowers or pollinator gardens.
If you're cutting sunflowers for a bouquet, harvest them early in the morning before it gets too hot to prevent them from wilting.

I have experienced this as well. After my daughter died, I was abandoned by some of my closest friends. I think it’s fear that drives this behavior…….however, it’s inexcusable. One (former) friend said, “I don’t do death.”💔Good luck with that.

This is important: When I’ve been out, I have fallen and/or was about to pass out. The 1st thing that happens is someone trying to get me up.Thankfully I’ve been able to say “No, I need to sit here a few minutes.”

If you witness someone pass out on to the ground, DO NOT RUSH THEM BACK UP TO A STANDING POSITION. This just decreases blood flow to their brain and can only make things worse. Please tell your friends about this.

My daughter died 30 yrs. ago. No social media. I bought books written by parents who had lost a child, and read every word. Their words helped me so much. I miss my daughter everyday. I will never “get over” losing her. Be kind. This loss hurts so much.

Yes it is. Stay your beautiful, strong self! I am a senior citizen. My family of origin has never loved me unconditionally. At 19 yo, I moved 2000 miles away from them. Have had “chosen” family ever since. Definitely better!
