I served a mission, we had 30 minutes a day, which we usually dragged into an hour in the gym. Every Monday we played full court for a few hours. Every mission is different, we had church’s with basketball courts many don’t

I grew up going the RES decked out in cougar blue. I was there for beck to harline screaming in joy and hugging my dad. We never experienced any out of the normal mocking definitely no drinks thrown at us etc etc. That is so oberblown

I was a die hard byu fan. Grew up with the ‘96 team that went 14-1 and the 2002 team with Doman and Staley. Then i became an adult and learned I didn’t have to follow a team or religion bc of familial tradition. Chose red you are correct it’s cooler.

BYU fans in one perfect post. Self righteous, ignorant. Holier than thou. Ignores the fact half of the U fans are LDS, and most church leadership went to the U. And his BYU education is showing with his grammar.
The bases for much of the Ute fan toxicity is due to a deeper sentiment beyond sports.
The bases is hatred of their rival’s affiliation with the prominent faith of the state. That hatred bled over to the Big12 once BYU was associated.
One fan base loves while the other hates.

BYU was praised for how quickly they condemned this and issued an apology. Before anyone could realize what had happened the story was “BYU apologizes for racial incident” so BYU administration is as much to blame for the fallout. They should’ve paused to get the real story

The handbook changes coming tomorrow wont be ground breaking except policies aimed at transgendered persons. Specifically that you aren’t eligible for the priesthood if you are female that identifies as a male, and sex change surgery is grounds for dicispline.
