The Church is not an automobile showroom—a place to put ourselves on display so that others can admire our spirituality, capacity, or prosperity. It is more like a service center, where vehicles in need of repair come for maintenance and rehabilitation.
As I sat in my Church meetings, my son was sitting on my lap and was asking for everything in sight. I began to get frustrated because I wanted to listen to the lesson. Little did I know THAT was the lesson. We ALL ask the LORD for everything in sight and he is patient with us.
I never understand when people leave the church they feel the need to bash it…it’s made up of imperfect people who are here to learn and grow just like you and I.
The Bucks have requested waivers on guard Elijah Bryant.
Bryant appeared in four preseason games with the Bucks and averaged 10.8 points in 19.9 minutes per game.
Our mortal life, however, was never meant to be easy or consistently pleasant. Our Heavenly Father … knows that we learn and grow and become refined through hard challenges, heartbreaking sorrows, and difficult choices. OCC!

Elijah Bryant reached a very rare milestone by becoming NBA and EuroLeague champion in back-to-back seasons 😮
Last year he became the NBA champion with the Bucks and now won the
#EuroLeague
trophy with Anadolu Efes.
I remember not having my name called on draft night. It hurt to tell you the truth, but with hard work and faith things can happen. Don’t let one night determine your legacy. God willing! OCC!
This one hit home for me:
“Don’t be among those “who would rather try to change the Church than to change themselves.” I/we have a lot of work to do on this mortal journey. Let’s get to work 💙
The love I have for this little man is like no other! It makes me think of how much love the savior has for each of his children. We are beyond blessed to become his parents. Welcome to the world

Elijah
Bryant.
We love you!
I never used to share my testimony because I felt like I didn’t know the Book of Mormon well enough or someone would judge me because my knowledge on the history of the church wasn’t adequate enough.
During my last year at BYU I said I’m going to start (acting as if) I am a ⬇️
Another thought after attending the Temple. Don’t take the temples and meeting houses for granted. Living in Turkey we aren’t always able to meet in a chapel or attend a temple. Take advantage of the opportunities the Lord has blessed you with 🙏🏽💙
Thanks Coach for giving me an opportunity to play the game I love at the best university in the country! Thanks for getting me through tough times! Much love, Coach
Do we trust His commandments to be for our good? His leaders, though imperfect, to lead us well? His promises to be sure?
We say we do until they say something we don’t like! We must trust in the Lord regardless our emotions or circumstances.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding’ [Proverbs 3:5]. … It was intended that life be a challenge, not so that you would fail, but that you might succeed through overcoming.”

My son, peace be unto thy soul; thine adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a small moment; and then, if thou endure it well, God shall exalt thee on high.
Hoopers, don't let a single day, like NBA draft day, define you. I went undrafted, but I kept pushing myself to improve, little by little, each day. Remember, small efforts can lead to big results. Just keep working and watch what unfolds.

Basketball gives you a 50% chance of winning each night. This year, we came up short, but growth comes from failure. Thanks to our fans and staff for your support. Time to work hard and get better! 🙏🏽💙
May the challenges and hardships that are inherent in any compelling narrative serve as a conduit for your personal growth and transformation, bringing you closer to embodying the character and qualities of Jesus Christ.
Thoughts after attending the Temple. We are here on earth to consecrate our talents and efforts. We think we have built these talents by ourself but they are a gift from God. We must use them to serve and bring more people into Christ.

As I sit here and reflect on 26.. man what a year!! If I had any advice, it would be to find what’s matters most to you and try to do that as much as possible. Cheers to more diaper changes, more service, and some buckets! God bless you all 🙏🏽💙
"We must realize that all God's children wear the same jersey. Our team is the brotherhood of man. This mortal life is our playing field. Our goal is to learn to love God and extend that same love to our fellowman.”
Dieter F. Uchtdorf
By divine design, fathers are to preside over their families in love and righteousness and are responsible to provide the necessities of life and protection for their families.
You’re not a hypocrite because you have a bad habit you are trying to break. You are a hypocrite if you hide it, lie about it, or try to convince yourself the Church has the problem for maintaining such high standards.
-Bradley R. Wilcox
I'm intrigued by ex-church members criticizing their former community, which is disheartening given its significance to many. Curious why people leaving other religions don't verify their choices online.
Believing in Jesus Christ does not mean that mortal challenges will cease to exist, but we do believe that the Lord can give us strength to meet our challenges as we strive to be more like Him.
“Jesus is the Living Christ, the immortal Son of God. … His way is the path that leads to happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come.”
