I saw someone hating on it, and my exact response was “what the fuck are you talking about that is the coolest thing I have ever seen in my fucking life, what SHOW IS THIS”

Thrilled RINGS OF POWER S2 is a huge improvement, making for a more propulsive season about how the evil lurking inside us is cloaked in noble intentions. This is nuanced (and very Tolkien) storytelling as nearly every character further dooms the second age. Vickers is wonderful.

The cruelty is the point in the USA. As a nation we rely on the fear of poverty/homelessness to keep people grinding themselves to death on the wheel of end stage capitalism.
They could provide for all of us.
It’s a choice.
Finland gave every homeless person a house and within 6 months 85% had a job and were financially independent.
Less crime, less hospital visits, less suffering and even including the cost of the house, LESS COST than the UK/USA method of abandoning them on the streets.
