This might be my favorite video of a storm I have ever taken. Looking into the core of a sculpted Kansas mothership. Just wait for the pan-out at the end.

This was the moment that the Mount Vernon, Indiana

obtained its EF-3 rating on the eastern edge of town. Note the large pieces of structural debris being lofted and orbiting around the center circulation.

I still cannot believe this happened. At about four in the morning, the sky exploded with color over eastern Iowa. These pillars were unlike anything I have ever experienced. Was a night I’ll never forget under the

Powerful winds moments ago on the west side of Fort Wayne. What sounds like a transformer being blown can be heard in the video. Have seen multiple emergency vehicles pass by in the past 10 minutes.

Totality in Missouri, the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen. Years of anticipating ended with this being one of the best moments of my life. What an amazing day under the shadow spent with some great friends.
Quick edit of the Mount Vernon, Indiana

at what was most likely its peak intensity on the east side of town yesterday. The motion on this tornado was incredible as it inflicted substantial structural damage just seconds later.

This EF-1

featured the most ground-scraping meso I’ve ever seen with sporadic vortices condensing underneath.

Just unreal. The car was mostly quiet while chasing this

, I think we were trying to process what was happening right in front of us. Mother Nature can be terrifying.

Photo taken earlier at 8:20PM looking to the west of Barclay, KS. Very stout funnel, looks to have possibly been a tornado from our vantage point, but too far away to confirm.

Within the first few minutes of its life, strong to violent motion was already present with the Greenfield, Iowa

shortly after it crossed HWY 34. This was one of three separate tornadoes that I witnessed in just 30 minutes of driving on this route.

Heavy snow falling at the Gateway Arch this evening! Have already picked up a healthy dusting of accumulation, with persistent bands of heavy snow continuing across the area.

Shots from todays wedge tornado NE of Williamsburg, IA around 2:00. Quickly, this tornado developed to our SW, grew rapidly to wedge, and then lost its fully condensed state as it became a large bowl just above the ground with subvortices.

Lightning illumination of the wedge tornado that impacted Rolling Fork, MS as it became fully rainwrapped while passing just to the north of Louise, MS. Was blasted by the RFD shortly after.

Yesterday’s display in Illinois was incredible. Not only did this supercell have some of the best structure I’ve seen, but it also produced this highly visible tornado near Lewistown that I watched develop out of this mothership. Doesn’t get much better than this.

Video from the early stages of the Lewistown, Illinois EF-3

This was the scene on the south side I-64 in Chesterfield as the tornado passed just a few miles north. Video was taken at about 7:55.
