14 years ago @ 7.20pm our darling Lillian was hit by a car, the driver was not insured, doing 45mph & driving under the influence of drugs. John Page abandoned the car & left the scene. Lillian died 5 hours later.
He served 8 weeks!

3 yrs ago we managed to get a new drug drive law enforced, including roadside drug testing. None of this would of happened without the sad loss of 14yr old Lillian Groves.

At 7.20pm 12 yrs ago today Lillian Groves was hit and killed outside her family home. The driver was never charged with drug driving the crime he committed serving just 8 weeks in prison!

Police officers do a amazing job on making our roads safer and since the introduction of LilliansLaw (drug drive testing) they are inundated with removing positive drivers from the road. Anyone who thinks differently need to walk our path for a day.
Tell that to the family that have lost a loved one through drug driving. I fully support my team dealing positively with drink and drug drivers.

28th June - its thanks to Lillian following her untimely death that brought in road safety legislation in 2015. The roadside Drug Analyser gives police the power to arrest a driver who fails the test.
